TT Root beer 126711CHNR vs SS Batman 126710BLNR...which gmt would you get?

Dear TRF,

If it is possible to get either one of them at retail price, which GMT would you get? Much appreciated for your comments.

You can't go wrong with either, or your could buy both.

Blue/Black has a great wrist feeling jubilee bracelet and in SS it will not attract as much attention as a TT which is more eye catching.

But both have the same movements, cases and and functions.

BLNR has my vote. Love the bezel colour combination. However I put mine on an Oyster bracelet most days I wear it, as I much prefer the previous reference’s look.

CHNR > BLNR

I have both. The CHNR is blingier and has more heft, the BLNR is a pleasure to have on the wrist.

Out of those two, the CHNR. Until you see the CHNR in the flesh you don’t really appreciate how stunning it is. How likely is it to actually be faced with that choice really? So basically take whatever opportunity presents itself first. Don’t pass on “the call” for either!

I would (and did) get the CHNR.

It's entirely up to you. Same functions, different watches.

The CHNR has depth to its colours and lustre. The BLNR is rather 2D and prosaic although still a very handsome watch. It would look more like a tool watch than the CHNR if it didn't have such a fussy bracelet.

CHNR by a mile Harry.

With the old 116713 a close second.

CHNR is so gorgeous. Sometimes I regret going for the BLRO over it.

For me it's CHNR for sure. Had the BLNR and let it go, and the BLRO doesn't quite do it for me ... But I guess any of them at retail and I would be happy just to have a GMT back.

The multi-coloured GMTs are young mens watches and that ship has sailed for me, but the rootbeer somehow manages to look spectacular, so without a doubt I'd choose the rootbeer.

If I could get one at retail I'd buy one.

Root beer unless you compared the root beer to the older Batman. Then it would be close, I hate the jubilee bracelet.

Batman don’t like brown on the bezel and the rose gold looks orangish to me.

I had both and greatly prefer the BLNR. The CHNR is very bling-y and just didn't sing to me. I just sold it this week.

Young men’s watch?? Why?
If the ship has sailed.....and there was one available at retail.....then why would you get it? I’m confused....

To the OP...I’d choose the CHNR for you, only because you have the 116610LV and Speedy already. Throw a little gold in your collection
My personal choice would be the BLNR. Love the jubilee combination and I’d choose that vs a RG TT.
No wrong choice though, both are beautiful pieces!

Look both great watches it simply comes down to money. If it’s both at msrp take the batgirl it’s 5k cheaper. With that saving you can add a bit more and get the explorer or new op. If you are paying over retail to get a SS batgirl I rather get the root beer at retail and that’s what I did.

BLNR for sure, a question of band. The jubilee change definitely the nature of the GMT; more light, more subtle, comfy and you enjoy the oyster of your sub

BLNR for me 100 times over. I just don’t understand the appeal of a pink and brown watch.

If you can get either at retail, I’d pick the BLNR because of the significant savings. At grey pricing, I’d probably still take the BLNR but only by a hair. I like the rose gold on the CHNR, but there’s brown on the bezel. Long term, I think blue on bezel is more aesthetically pleasing than brown.
