Have my 5980 1A. Just acquired a 5969 1 A (fantastic daily). I think I am now looking at either 5170 P or 5270 P or 5970 P or J

5164A - One (of two) of my favorite watches. So easy to wear, under the radar, can swim in it and perfect travel watch, best GMT.

5711 - I still yearn for the white dial version. Hopefully I will pick one up within the next year. I would almost choose the white version of the 5726, which is a close second to this one.

5170G - The simple black dial version with the Brequet Numbers is sublime. I would even take it over the 5370. The movement may not be as good as the ALS 1815, but the aesthetic of the dial and overall piece makes it a winner.

5711 blue - Classic luxury sports watch
3940P - Most beautiful PC within reach
5231J - Beautiful WT that I prefer to the 5131s

My preferences keep changing though...

2. 3940
3. 5711

That covers all the bases and not over the top crazy

I think you are referring to 5712 instead of 5212.

3940p, 5740g, 5170p. I wouldn't mind swapping 5170p to 5270p though... Maybe...

I'm thinking of my first Patek, so this is a timely and fun question! I think I'd go...

5164A
5970G
5004R

If I were to go more on the more attainable side...

5164A
3970R second series
5170P

Interestingly, despite being on both lists, the 5164a is the last one I'd buy. $20k over retail informs me to stay away for now.

If we go completely unattainable (just for fun):

- 2499J
- 1463 Split Seconds in steel
- 1579 in pink gold

In case any readers were wondering, the ones I'm actually considering are the 3970R, 5170P, and 5170G white dial.

This 5089 is special because it also has marquetry. The wood is flushed with the dial. Very exquisite but also impossible to get.

Good exercise

1). 5235 G - first regulator, all the advanced tech; that dial.
2). 5712/1A - my favorite dial in Nautilus
3). 5167/1A - GADA watch

3 is actually pretty tough.

Not including my 5167.
1. 5711 - Thin, classic, water resistant.... *chef kiss*
2. 5164 - Travel time and water resistant
3. 5170P - Just to look at the movement.

Honorable mentions / Wishes:
7243G - Love the smaller 5524 in white gold.
5212A because I would love the week number complication and the hand written font
5227G - Classic dress watch, but would want a light dial with white gold.
5196P with a larger movement and display back.... perfection!
5712 - Because, moonphase, if it had 120m WR like the 5711, no brainer, it would beat out the 5711 for me.

Wow, that enamel dial is calling me. I have recently started watching Yellowstone, and I have an itch to say F corporate America, buy a ranch, and wrangle some cattle. The dial will wear perfectly when riding my horse around...

Where did you find this?

Yeah, even if I could get it I don't think they would look very good on my 8 inch wrist but I can definitely appreciate the watch as art

I’m a simple man with simple desires:
1 5711 in white
2 5167 on Rubber
3 5196j on leather
The complicated watches are great but I know I wouldn’t wear them enough to justify it.

If I could only have one it would probably be the 5740g. I could wear that for the rest of my life while the rest of my collection rusts away

5740 - Best Nautilus they make, or the 5726 / 5990

5004 - Perp Chrono split seconds

5650 - Best Aquanaut they make.

I could live with those 3 as my only watches. I already have a few so I wanted to shoot big... damn just adding them up at over 600k...
