This nice discontinued Piece is now completely ruined as far as a collector is concerned. You are not interested in selling it are you ?

I much prefer the PCLs but to each their own - thanks for sharing.

Brushed my GMT master ii bracelet!
Quote:
The center links can be polished again but they may never be exactly like they were. Some metal is always lost in the process. And the Crown on the clasp has already lost some definition, so this would be worsened by another polish. A seller would be obligated to disclose this kind of modification and the attempt to reverse it. Personally, I would not buy such a watch. That being said, it’s your watch and you should be able to modify it if that’s what you want. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I think it looks great and what you think matters most. Dont listen to value obsessed collectors that keep watches mint in safes so someone else can finally enjoy them one day. Life is short.

Who did the polish on it? Does not look ‘factory’.
Personally, I prefer it with the PCLs, but if you like it, enjoy it.

It’s weird how different things about these watches get to people. Oh well, keeps it all interesting I suppose?!

you just murdered it ! the grain in the polished centre links looks far far too course and slightly not straight as if it was done by hand , it now looks like a messed about with watch and non original , should have got a submariner bracelet with glidelock on it instead of doing what you have done .
sorry if its not what you want to hear but you did ask , really all that matters if your happy with it ? |

I think it looks amazing. The picture doesn't do it justice, the finish looks exactly like my submariner I don't see any difference. And yes I'm very happy with it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I would have personally removed and put the PLC Bracelet in the case for the future and bought a brand new glidelock from Rolex rather than destroy the original bracelet for the watch. Tastes and trends may change and either way, if you ever wanted to sell or someone down your line ever wanted to sell they it’ll be a problem
Either way it’s done now and the result is still nice |
