You were in LA and didn't tell me! The stores in TBIT are nice. They've stepped up their game. Use to be a joke of an international terminal. Careful at that Tumi store!

On the plane now coming up to LAX from San Diego... have a couple hours to kill at LAX before the flight to England. Hmmm... what to do to kill the time? Wander around the stores...? (Not the Tumi store of course) Take a nap in the executive club? ....
Maybe... visit the chapel!(?). Hmmmm...

Haha!

I’m still waiting for your first Tumi is it safe thread or Tumi vs Samsonite vs American Tourister ones.

The potential parallels to watch discussions are there.

I wanted ONE Rolex and ended up on this forum to learn.

Side Effects of TRF:

I now own 3 Rolex watches
My wine budget has increased significantly
I justified buying a weekend car

Now, I am considering buying a Tumi bag that probably cost more than the grand total of every single piece of luggage I have every purchased...

Sounds about right. If allowed, I'm sure Porsche and Tumi would gladly sponser this forum.

With the amount of Tumi that you buy, you can open your own second hand Tumi boutique

On our recent flight to London, I couldn't get an upgrade, so we suffered back in the steerage section. I was miserable. But that's an expensive upgrade! Heck, a couple of flights like that (for two) and you've bought a new Sub. You know, if you could find a new Sub.

I have a Tumi briefcase (remember when we all carried those?) but I'm not sure that I understand the crazy appeal of their bags. What am I missing?
