Seriously i like divisive watches and i have a 5524G for a reason and thats a big factor. Not everyone has to like it and thats cool, the colors are the colors and if you dont like them fine.

The colors are the colors on purpose though and it bugs me when people think Rolex isnt doing what they want to be doing and they are incompetent with mixing colors, like they just started making watches last week. If you dont like it, its not because Rolex made it wrong.

A conspiracy by some waiting in line to see demand reduced in order to get theirs faster

I find the new blue particularly disturbing. We know Rolex can do blue correctly in Cerachrome because they did so on the BLNR. Although I suppose we should be grateful they didn't do what Tudor did on their GMT.

Not that simple. And tyler, I would argue about the colors being this way 100% on purpose.

We know that the bezel starts out red and then treatment is added to half of it to turn blue. Whatever your opinion, that is a major constraint on the colors. The process has to work. For the BLNR, blue is turned to black which is almost certainly a lot easier.

I've seen the bezels in a lot of different lighting and in fluorescent indoor light it does take on a more pink/purple hue than natural light.

Also, a member of this forum has a WG and a new SS and there is a subtle difference to the bezels side-by-side. The newer SS colors are a little darker/more saturated. I think it looks better. Could be that the latest WG versions had the same bezel, but there's clearly a difference between the two that this person has.

And... as expected, the tides will start to shift as more and more of these make their way into the wild... BLRO forever, forever BLRO. Congrats to those who have recently acquired the piece. It’s beautiful.

Seeing as how Rolex can do many blues in Cerachrome, they clearly chose these exacts colors/shades on purpose. I think it’s an homage to the original Bakelite dial hues. I get it. I just prefer the more vibrant blue and red on my 16710.

I’ve seen it in person and there’s no doubt to me that the red is what it is. There have been many threads on the complexity of manufacturing the bi-colored ceramic bezels. Blue and black seem to be worlds easier than red, which does come out with a hint of blue, making it pinkish/purplish.

Can’t tell you what to think and variables with you monitor, cameras, eyes, and own option but I don’t think so at all :)

I have tried one on before. It is not pink but more red wine or cherry like color.

I actually don't really like BLRO because of the red.

btw, I've been wearing mine as a daily for weeks and I've never seen the pink/purple hues you so often see online, it's a stunning watch, once you put it on it'll cast a spell on you.

I do agree with your statement on the fact that if someone doesn’t like it, it doesn’t mean that Rolex got it wrong.

In fact, having owned a 1675 and the 126710, both have their very own charm.

The 126710 looks really sharp. And the jubilee combination is just perfect, I wouldn’t have acquired it if it was in oyster, it would then look just like the millions of other ceramic sports Rolexes that have flooded the market.

In Jubilee, it is currently the only sports model paired with it and in the Rolex world, this makes the 126710 ultra rare

I think people see what colors they want to see. To me, it’s purple/raspberry. But what does that matter. It’s a Basel favorite and you can’t even get the watch it’s in such high demand. The OP wanted to get involved and he asked a very simple question. I don’t understand why some of us are so mean. If the post doesn’t interest you, move on.

And before people get mad at me,

1. Yes. I have seen it in person
2. Yes I have held one.
3. Yes I have been offered one.

As amazing a piece it is, it’s just not for me.

Yes. The colors are way off compared to the 1675, 16750, and 16710. That's why I sold my new BLRO. Not even close in terms of color reproduction.

Really depends on the lighting. I don’t think they were trying to replicate the older GMT red and blue at all.

I’d love a lumed bezel. I’m big on lume, relying on my watch a lot at night.

This is purely subjective.

while I didn't buy the watch when I was offered it - on release when my AD received - the colors looked just fine to me. As Tyler stated - HD cameras and lighting angles, etc change perspective. In the metal it's PERFECTLY fine.

The only time I saw some coloring issues were some of the first of the WG BLROs that were released and Rolex replaced those bezels.

While the dial of the new BLRO is the same, the overall watch is significantly bigger. It may be just the thing for me. The only thing holding me back is my nostalgic love of the 5-digit GMT and the colors.
