The Seamaster would be my vote or a vacation style watch.

If choosing between those exact two watches, I like Tudor more and think it will age better. I'm just not quite sold on the new wave pattern and the dial color of the Omega compared to the original Bond Seamaster, which was my first watch and one I liked it a lot.

If it were me, I would look at a Breitling Superocean Heritage II 42mm on the milanese bracelet for something a little different. It has six different dial and bezel color variants too.

Exactly! I’ve had the same experience/ feelings about Tudor, I actually prefer the older Tudors when they actually used Rolex cases. I’d buy the Omega / any Omega over a Tudor any day

I like a lot of Omega watches, but, the problem with many of the newer ones is that they're a bit overwrought and stylized, so, while some may like the look of something like the new SM300 or new Aqua Terra now, I think they'll look dated in the future.

IMO, the last great new line of Omegas was the 2500 series Aqua Terra/Railmaster/Planet Ocean and 2254.50 Seamaster. Those had simpler, timeless designs that still look good today, despite not being direct copies of older models:

This is a hard one. I am a huge fan of the 300m, specifically as a vacation watch where sand and beach come together. I have not seen the new version, which I think has increased in size to 42mm from 41mm. Personally, I am a fan -- and currently own -- the non-wave ceramic bezel version. The new one could grow on me, but I would have to see it in person.

Either way, 300m is my choice.

BB58 by a country mile

And I have a beautiful Omega which I love.

No contest. Id love a BB58

In fact I have no interest in modern Omega's . Not what they once were

I’m actually torn between these 2. I’ve handled the BB58 in person and it’s amazing. I’ll wait until I can handle the new omega before I decide. Based off of aesthetics, I think one could argue there’s room for both of these in your collection.

My vote! I don’t understand all the complaining and hating on a brand for having some variety in there models. So what they make 50 speedies, I found one I like so I bought it. So they make a bunch of LE, some have been really nice, some I don’t care for. Doesn’t make the brand less. At least they have some creativity. Both brands have some great models and some not so much.

I really like the new Seamaster on rubber, it looks great in person. I haven't got my hands on the 58 yet, and while i don't love the faux-rivet bracelet, when Rubber B makes a strap for the 58...Game over

Huge Tudor fan, but in this case I would go with the Omega. Used to have a SMP several years ago, and it was as fine a diver as anything I've had since. Been seriously contemplating picking one back up now, but the collection is starting to get out of hand...

Actually, I think the Pelagos is a better comparison against the Omega. Lightweight and fun, a great vacation watch.

That Seamaster has an interesting look - I think it will age well. The dial is kind of cool. Not sure if it would get old or not. However, if it suits you, I would grab it!!

Of course, the BB 58 is great, too. I just think the Seamaster is a little more unique.

I would buy the Omega, because in 1st place, is the BOND watch (I know that is not the exact Bond model, but it continues being a Seamaster 300m), 2nd, because is a more complete watch, because he has a date wheel, and a display case back (Tudor don’t have). On the other side, on the Tudor, do you have the Snowflake hands and dial, (I know that is not a feature, but I think that is cool!!!), and last but not least, the wave dial and the Helium Escape Valve, they looks amazing on the Seamaster I think!!!
I hope you guys enjoy my opinion about that.
Thanks, Lucas!!!

I like some omegas but that particular omega is not one of them. Lol
The watch looks gimmicky to me. Not a fan of that dial either.

Between the two, I would choose Tudor

All depends on your goal. Tudor BB58 for longevity and classic design. The blue dial and bezel on the Omega draws you to the ocean. I like the Tudor more.

Omega always have a special place in my heart. I’ve been wearing my black SMP for years before Rolex.

the Seamaster dial and hands are a bit much for me. With Omega if you don't like the bezel or the hands or the bracelet or the dial, well there's always several dozen other choices within the same line.

But if I'm choosing strictly from the 2 options, I'd have to go Tudor.

Vacation watch ? No doubt the Omega, it is a great timepiece on all counts, fun, playful, young looking and technically & mechanically very solid. I love the look of the BB58, along with the BBGMT, I think it's one of the best looking watches coming out from Rolex, but I wouldn't call it a vacation watch

This exactly Omegs for the win - it’s simply the better watch. Unless you just like the Black Bay better, and then it’s the better watch for you.

I like the black bay in this battle.....if it was the older SMP's with wave dials....my decision would be a toss up.
