TUMI. I have a 15+ year old backpack I use when I travel for work 4-5 times a year and the stitching where the strap attaches to the bag began to fray. Sent it in asking for a repair quote and it was returned two weeks later wrapped up and looking brand new with a hand written note thanking me for being a valued customer. I have only purchased/registered 3 pieces of their luggage but I suppose that is enough for me to qualify as such.

Incase backpacks.

Spyderco knives.

Fenix flashlights.

Yeti soft coolers, tumblers and thermos bottles.

Mercedes Benz has been good to me.

Old Parker Jotter pens.

Cariloha underwear.

Patagonia and Arc'teryx outerwear

I have always been happy with anything made by Apple. I have a 2009 mac mini that is still running as a media server in my basement. Every day for almost 10 years.

It’s a little scary to read through this thread and realize just how many of the items I own or have owned. There are also lots of new things to check out so keep them coming!

I have a 1997 Schwinn Homegrown hardtail that is possibly one of the greatest mountain bikes I've ever ridden. I wish we still had my dad's old Schwinn early 80s rigid mountain bike, not sure which model, but it was a beast.

Something I'm noticing is a lot of people mentioning "vintage" for hard goods... Kind of reinforces the sentiment that they used to make things to last back then, instead of being disposable and replaceable.

From my personal experience, aside from Rolex and Omega, I'm happy with my

Nikon - 15+ years
Leica - 12+ years
Victorinox Swiss Army knives - 20+ years
Vasque Hiking boots - 5+ years
North Face backpacks - 10+ years
though my NF Duffel bags got scratches after only 2 trips

I'm still looking for my first Filson bags and Red Wing boots

I had a "Bass Boat Orange" Homegrown, full XTR, yada, yada, yada...rode that thing all over CO and UT, when I lived over 8,000' in the 1990s. Sold it to my buddy; he still has it.

Today, I'm riding on a pre-buyout titanium Litespeed Suwanee and a bespoke titanium Lynskey Pro 29er.

A couple other outdoor brands that come to mind...

Moss Tents, subsequently bought out by MSR.

Arc'teryx, some of my gortex is pushing 15 years old.

Works well with my 216570

Saddleback Leather. 100 year guarantee. I have a briefcase, a wallet, a passport wallet and a journal cover. I can't tell you about their repair quality as I've never had a problem with any of them. They make a huge variety of items. If there is something I want and they make it I'll buy from them, no need to shop other brands. I think they are a great value for the dollars spent.

Other brands of these have been mentioned so I'll add Benchmade Knives to my post.

I bought a pair of boots from John Varvatos last year and the quality and durability is amazing so far. I'm interested to see how many years I get out of them.

On the topic of shoes, Ferragamo loafers hold up very well and get lots of compliments... but for top notch American made footwear, Allen Edmonds takes it. The quality vs price point is unrivaled IMO. And of course Zippo lighters :)

And for my musician friends, Orange Amps and Fender Custom Shop guitars all day

No way. I am on my second one and they are rock solid performers in every way. I track my vehicles and keep them up to speed, so to speak. Nobody is as reliable as Porsche at the track. Porsche is the single most winning marquee in history.

Rolex, Porsche, Apple products, Iron Heart denim and clothing (Japanese heavy built stuff), Vanson leathers, and old Fender basses are my go to products.

Also I am on my fifth Range Rover and ever since Tata bought them reliability has been excellent. I have had a Disco, a full size and am on my third sport. I dont think I have had a major issue since going sport HSE. These beasts rock on the open road and build quality is amazing.

I love quality heavy duty stuff. My Smurf fits right in with me.

  • Timberland Boot Company handcrafted shoes that fit like a glove
  • Maui Jim & Persol sunglasses
  • Benelli
  • Sig Sauer

  • Breitling. Been rock solid for years. Assuming the same of Rolex -- that's why I'm here -- but it's all new.
