Lugs appear to be rounded a bit due to polishing.

From your pics, nothing seems wrong with the polishing job they've done to your watch...

Its a gestalt thing. I don't think you can get what OP is talking about from looking at one view of a picture. Gotta say I don't see what you see from these pictures. But I understand exactly what you're talking about.

It looks fine. I would only be annoyed if it was polished when I gave instructions not to.

Now I think it looks like they took off material from the lugs specifically. They don’t look as “fat” as they used to be. Sorry the pics aren’t that great. iPhone camera.

Probably looks better if the lugs are not as fat these square ceramics will probably be in demand after three or four polishes has reduced the lug size.

Really well said, and totally true.

OP, if it went to the RSC I’m sure it’s come out as it should have.

Realistically, it’s going to be hard for anyone to identity exactly if much has been taken off as images always appear darker/brighter etc.

From what you’ve provided, it looks good-to-go.

Enjoy it.

This is why I always weigh my watch before sending it in and photograph the result, I also get a micrometer on it. I have it professionally photographed from every angle.
This prevents things like this from happening..

The thickness of the lugs looks fine to me. As to the sharpness of the lines, photos are too low quality to say definitively. I was under the impression that Rolex has a machine for 6 digit case refinishing that is designed to preserve the dimensions of the case, but I’m not sure if that’s true. Maybe Bas will chime in.

From the low quality photos provided it does appear that a slight bevel has been put on the lugs (like a Tudor), whereas a Rolex’s lugs should be sharp and defined. But like I said, it’s a low res photo.

True. It’s only now that I am totally averse to polishing. In the 90s sending a DD for polish was an exciting exercise
