Sorry diamonds are not the only thing that can scratch sapphire. Load of crap for sure.

Personally I would leave the crystal the way it is.

I don't believe the last set are official Rolex images - the Rolex technical page indicate that the AR coating is underneath the cyclops but on both sides of the crystal.

If I can find it, I'll post the pic

You're probably right about that set of images.
I also hope you're right about the AR coating being underneath the cyclops.
But I've definitely seen a couple posts here with scratched cyclops lenses and part of the AR cating missing at the top and ( reportedly) being felt with the touch or fingernail.
Would be great if you could locate that pic. Thanks for taking the time
