The very aggressive downward angle which comprises a significant portion of the AP case makes the cases fit much slimmer than they actually are, to my eye.

I agree! That angled part of the case almost reads as part of the bracelet, so the 50mm length of the case is a misleading number. It wears smaller.

Update...

Sorry for the late respond guys.....

Been a busy & fun week.....

First of all the 37mm 50th anniversary blue dial is a beautiful timepiece....

Unfortunately you guys are right.....

It too small for my 7.2 inch wrist & I had to turn it down...... Which it will be pass on to the next lucky person...:-)

I get to try the 15500 41mm, is a better fit for my wrist.......

So, I'll be waiting for the 15500 blue dial......

Thanks again for your help guys......

Cheers,

Cheers,

Good to hear you were able to try it on and make your decision. As I mentioned earlier, I was sure 37mm would be perfect for my wrist, but in person I felt it was a tad small and the AP staff strongly encouraged me to reconsider (now waiting for a 41mm).

Not an unexpected outcome - good luck with acquiring the 15500/15510
