Icon14 Rikki is outstanding

Just got my 1675 back from Rikki and couldn't be more pleased with the results. Had the chance to visit his shop and he was a great guy to sit and talk with taking the time to answer all my questions. Dropped it off on a Monday and picked it up the next Friday, exactly as promised. Rikki is a man of his word and his work is top shelf. I would not hesitate to do business with him again, highly recommended

Thanks Rikki

Its great we have independents like Rikki still in business and doing fantastic work and more to the customers needs. And IMHO far more should use there services rather than use the RSC for a more personal customer satisfaction..

I am strongly considering usuing Riki for my future needs. We have yet to speak, but I have been "researching" him... and all seems above board. What even better is that he is a positive member of this forum,,, which is way cool!

I never hesitate to send someone Rikki's way as they are in good hands.

And speaking of Rikki. Rikki, thanks so much for your continued technical "brain trust" you provide to TRF. You are a true asset to the TRF community.

Agreed. Riki is AWESOME! My watch came back looking brand spanking new. So new, I didn't want to wear it. I then slapped myself and said it was my watch and I could wear it when I want.

I also agree with the OP and all the positive reponders. I had sent my mother's Tudor in to the Dallas RSC for inspection and servicing and the rep. I spoke with said that because the current dial was different from the one the watch came from the factory with, that it could only be serviced if the dial was replaced. I opted to not go through with the service and leave the watch as my mother had received it from my father over 30 years ago when he retired from ARAMCO in Saudi Arabia.

Thanks to the fine folks here and all their reviews of watch repair places, I felt confident that Rik would do a good job with the needed servicing - and I wasn't wrong!

In 2008 I dropped my gold/stainless Rolex Submariner from waist high onto a lightly carpeted gym floor. The watch seemed OK, but the bracelet was jammed shut. I contacted RSC in New York and ended up mailing it to them for service and repair. It took 6 weeks plus, but it was returned looking like new. However, it just never seemed right when winding.....It had a "dragging" sound and feel. I know, should have returned it.

A few months ago it started to vibrate and shutter when hand winding. So a couple of weeks ago I contacted RSC in New York and of course their answer was send it end we will look at it..... Contacted RSC in Dallas and even though they seemed more interested in my problem, the end result was send it. Both quoted the going service rate plus parts. Don't get me wrong I knew it would need to be sent in, I was just trying to justify where to send it.

The next day I sent an email to Rik explaining the symptoms and he replied the same day saying based on the symptoms it would need a new axle. I called him by telephone and he went more into detail of the steps involved including a complete service (which I wanted). Off to the post office it went to Florida and upon receiving the watch Rik called to verify his first thoughts on needing an axle were correct. He also answered several more questions I had on watch timing, repair time lines, etc. Repair was authorized and credit card info provided.

This week I received the watch back, tissue and bubble wrapped, "peanut" covered packed, double boxed. Watch looks and runs like new and I am very pleased. We are fortunate to have quality watch makers as Rik and the other well mentioned watch repair persons so often talked about on this forum.

Good job Rik!!!!!! Kudos
