JLC Duometre or VC Patrimony Moon

hi Guys
I'm looking for a new watch for my wedding, and trying to decide between the JLC Duometre chronographe in platinum, or the VC Patrimony Retrograde moon. Ive found the JLC pre-owned for about the same price as the VC from an AD. Ideally I want something I can wear reasonably frequently for the office, but be able to dress it down with jeans.
any advice would be gratefully received

Nice problem, and a tough one. I vote VC.

In my opinion the JLC can be dressed down more easily because (1) it does not have a moon phase (to me moonphase means elegant) and (2) it is a technically more sophisticated watch (this is hardly a fact, but the complication on the JLC is more modern and being a Chrono it is sportier in nature).

So based on your criteria, I would say JLC. That VC is sweet though...

Based on looks alone, the VC wins it for me. I also prefer the VC’s slimmer case.

Grats on the wedding! 100% Duometre, that VC looks horribly out of balance.

Duometre of course, esp when you also need to wear it for casual occassions

Both are lovely watches, albeit a bit on the large size, and either would be an excellent choice. I think the JLC is a bit more versatile and platinum always trumps white gold but I also think the Duometre is a much more impressive movement from a technical perspective. If "Patek" was on the dial it would cost at least four times as much.

I prefer the JLC between the two. Love the textured look of that dial!

A completely one–sided contest, not helped by the fact that the Vacheron is a bit of a mess.
It may be a novel implementation of the retrograde date display, but it has a certain awkwardness about it.
