Advice for a Speedmaster

I'm about to enter the Omega line. I like Speedmaster. I can not yet think of a new one but I guess it must have been used in good condition.
I like them with a leather bracelet. The quartz ones are more accurate than the automatic or is the same.
Any recommendation? Thanks guys.

The Speedmaster Professional Hesalite handwind is the purest DNA. Get that one first tnen add variations later.

If you like the leather strap, you can go with the First Omega in Space. It is smaller (39.7mm), has straight lugs and no crown guards and has a sapphire crystal instead of hesalite so is not the same as the Speedy Pro. Personally, I prefer it to the Speedy Pro but it isn't the "moonwatch." That doesn't bother me because I think it looks better and the movement is the same.

Hi, I am visiting Chicago from the UK in a few weeks and am considering the First in Space or a standard Moonwatch Pro. Could you recommend a good Omega dealer and what sort of discount I might get? Many thanks!

The Speedmaster does not come with quartz movement. You can get them in original manual wind, or with the automatic movement. Perhaps you are thinking of the X-33 model?

Here's one of mine on a Hirsch curved end strap.

FOIS. No crown guards and sub 40mm size. The way God intended chronographs to be.

Thanks for the tip Sandpit, for £2900 is that from an AD or grey market? Thanks if you can provide any more detail

I have never seen this bezel before. Is it from Omega or aftermarket? I am really interested to learn something new.

Thanks

The only non-boutique AD in the downtown area is Geneva Seal. I do not have personal experience purchasing a watch from them, but have not heard anything but positive experiences. As far as the discount, I'm not too certain but somewhere around the $4,500 would not surprise me, perhaps lower. The Omega Boutique is nice, but you will not be receiving much of a discount.
While you're in Chicago, just make sure to do yourself a favor and get an Italian Beef with sweet peppers, dipped. (Lukes is good if you're downtown).

Thanks for the advice and I’ll be sure to go with that food tip as well!

The FOIS is a great watch and they can be had for a very fair price. Always buy used.

Are these custom made? I’d love to get a curved end strap like this but in veg tan leather so the leather would evolve in time.

This is my Speedy 3570.50 on an Omega Rally Strap.
