The way you spelled it? No, it's 'Fathoms'.

Might be a legitimate FF of one sort, but it ain’t no Technisub model, that’s for sure.
Movement looks like an ETA, but I’m not sure what Blancpain was using back in the late 60s when the genuine one was in production.

Avoid, and it looks like it’s already done the rounds elsewhere… https://orologi.forumfree.it/?t=72339180

And if you’re going to post an image, make sure the url ends in jpg/jpeg – otherwise just use URL tags to create a clickable link.

Thank you very much for your answer.
Why is it definitely no Technisub?

It is also not the same as on orlogi link.
It has a different serial number on the back and on the back of mine is an engravement of BUNDESWEHR and an engravement of a nato number.

The other links are known and i have studied them.

I wasn’t saying that one was the exact same piece as the Italian forum one, just that something purporting to be a Technisub wasn’t the real thing.
Just like many Rolexes have been doctored to make them what they originally weren’t, since they’re more valuable then, this one looks like the same thing has been done.

I am only going purely off photos, but those I linked to, when studied properly, will highlight the differences between what are genuine ones and the one you’ve linked.
I could be wrong, and during its production over whatever timeframe that was, the factory could’ve altered things, using available parts from other models – the only real way of knowing is for someone with considerable expertise in this era of FFs, to be able to examine it or contacting Blancpain for info and/or sending it to them for authentication.

It’s one of a number of reasons that I steer well clear of vintage stuff, it’s just far too much of a bloody minefield to figuring out if things are real, fake, or “modified”, and therefore too easy to be duped into spending more money than they’re actually worth.

Thank you very much for your input.
I really appreciate it.
Vintage watches is indeed a very difficult, especially if you have never owned a old blancpain fifty fathoms before.
I hope more people can give their expertise.
