I keep trying to tell myself this, but my brain gets stuck at 3 < 5. Just bought a BLNR this month.

Rolex is a lot of great things. Organized is not one of them.

Having a meeting a few days ago to discuss 'rumors' of a warranty extension at a place that functions to service watches daily (under warranty), being shown the actual warranty booklet and STILL denying the 5 year warranty.....LOL...I'd say there's a communication breakdown.

Throw in the lack of acknowledgement of any cyclops magnification issue and it seems like some very odd things are happening at the RSC right now. Perhaps Rolex is preparing to counter an official recall of the cyclops with the new extended warranty?

Awesome!! Thanks for sharing.

I hope North America gets some green tags

I have a question, now watches that get a full service at a RSC will also come with a standard 5 year warranty? Or would it be 2 year as it is now?

I haven't seen the old international warranty before so I don't know how it compares to the two year USA one. I'll withhold comments until I see the new USA warranty but I do see a couple of potentially significant things in the one shown besides the increase to five years.

So, we still don't know if this will include Rolex USA?

If this is indeed true for Rolex USA, my AD offered to re-ring my Submariner Hulk after July 1st (that I bought on June 9th) since I'm still in the 90 day return period. It would basically be a return, and a re-purchase.

But unless I get a new warranty card, simply re-ringing the purchase wont help me, right? If that's the case, I'd have to return the watch for a refund, and take a new Hulk with new card, which I don't want to do because this one gains less than 1 second a day.

They said that in the worst case (if the rumor is true and I can't do a re-ring for more years) that I'd get new the 3 years from Rolex and they still add their 1 year to whatever Rolex offer for any purchase from them - so I'd go to 4 years total. But they still denied that they know anything about Rolex lengthening the warranties.

Thanks. So my red tag BLNR has just doubled in value due to its exclusivity?

Incredible isn't it? They would have had more credibility if they acknowledged the fact that the increased warranty was at least going into effect in Europe but that there was no firm confirmation yet that it would be extended to the U.S. But no, they deny it completely even when presented with evidence. Mind boggling.

I spoke with an AD that I've made many purchases from (in the US) and he did confirm starting July 1st 2015, all watches purchased July 1> will have a 5 yr warranty. Before July 1, they will have a 3 yr warranty.

Interesting stuff! Thanks for posting.

So does that mean now that the red tags have been discontinued they have become rare collectors items? I have over a hundred of those things

Probably will be collectors only after a few decades or so

Thank you for sharing such an exciting news with us although I will hardly use it in the future.

It seems like that a hospital provides you with 5-year warranty without charging you the doctor fee. Will you go to see doctor without any sickness just because of free of charge? Maybe somebody will do it and I don't know.
