Emmm there are a lot of watches at that price point, I think Ball has more to offer.

The sub company of Wilsdorf is making hay with their retro remakes, ie gilt dials, rivetted straps etc., faux patina to lume, if this is what the market at that price point wants then let them run with it!!
The Montecarlo was quite a faithful homage too, but these snowflake (see the joke?) era ones seem to sell/appeal more.

I did Clive - Great watch, but I regretted letting my 16710 go previously so rectified that when I had a bit of a change up last autumn. One of the few watches I’ve ever made money on!

It’s nice to have a Tudor back in the stable however.

I’m liking my Pelagos more every day, over 3 years with it. Amusingly (to me, at least), before my recent addition of a Rolex diver, I always felt I settled for a Tudor in some way. I even thought I might sell it, or relegate it to rough wear and save the Rolex for special occasions. Now that I have both, I am better able to appreciate the differences in the Rolex and Tudor lines, and it is proving to be a tough choice which one I want to put on in the morning. I’m eyeballing a Black Bay Black or Harrods edition as my next purchase.

Let’s give Tudor their proper credit!

You’ll start to see more and more tudors on the wrist of WIS considering Rolex is now next to impossible to acquire. I’d take a black bay over some of the most sought after Rolex’s strictly based in its value and classic / versatile design. Fantastic piece. The 58 changed the game in my opinion. Only flaw is the “gilt” numerals on the bezel. Otherwise perfect

Tudor is a great value especially since Rolex has been going up and up in price. Man, when will the Rolex price increases slow down???

I agree. My Black Bay is so nice, that if you put a Rolex crown on the dial, people would be lining up to buy one for $9,000!

You have to see the 58 in person...I own one and an original black bay black. the pics make the gilt numbers look very gold in colour In person however they are very bronzish. They look way better in person than they do in pics.

Not really much to tell. Original owner wanted a black bezel insert, and somehow found a loose one and swapped it over.

I have the steel bezel insert tucked away.

is it a genuine insert of aftermarket? i have found aftermarket inserts available but i suppose i will need to contact a watchmaker with a parts account to get a genuine part?

has anyone here tried the aftermarket inserts? wondering how the fit and finish is.

I just purchased my first Tudor a few months ago, the new 1926 model and I love it.

I'm so impressed with the Tudor brand that I'm now thinking my next purchase will be either the BB GMT and/or BB Chrono.

It was kind of a grail and hard to find (at the right price)...still I wasn't expecting to love it on the wrist as much as I do!

Wore my 79230n to work yesterday and kept finding myself just staring at it! The dial, along with that raised crystal really gives a warmth and vintage feel that is awesome. I have found that many brands try too hard to replicate a vintage look and it doesn’t usually work, but this works! Great watch.
Also, despite some of the criticism, I really like the bracelet

I have the same watch on order as guess what it's in short supply. What do you reckon to it. ?

I absolutely love Tudors and think that so many of them are just as worthwhile collecting as Rolexes.
It does depend on the collector however and this is just my own opinion.
