That's a shame . Well, hopefully Patek resolves it for you once and for all.

I have a 5968 on my AD wish list... may need to reconsider.

I’m sorry to hear that but really enjoy seeing the pics of your dog(s) - gotta love bulldogs.

Edit got distracted by the dogs and just now read about your bad experience. Terrible- hope it will be resolved soon.

AD just delivered me my 3rd 5968, let’s see if this one can last longer than 40 minutes

Is that covered by the warranty?

Yes I kept the original orange strap. I took it off the watch along with the deployment clasp but the AD insisted on taking the clasp back. They did give me another travel case for the inconvenience though.

Yes just a travel case.

No sorry for your inconvenience over the last 16 months.

No what watch do you want next but then again they might have taken my "absolutely no way am I giving Patek another penny of my money" comment literally.

No follow up call to see if it's still working.

Just radio slience

But I think they know my thoughts especially as the MD of the AD accused me of pushing the chrono start / stop pusher too many times in quick question. Which I didn't take kindly to.

Honestly with the kind of money being asked for this watch , I wouldn't care even if pressed quickly , it should be fail proof! These are sport models and need some reliability and sturdiness unless they expect all Pateks to be ultra fragile Faberge eggs.

Why would you want to damage the watch, Ands even if you did press it a million times in rapid speed it should be able to withstand the test of time.

Having the watch go off for repair and for it to come back is just appalling - you would expect the watch would have been tested at the factory and then at the AD

Regarding the MD - Attitude like that stinks but unfortunately like most brands which have huge followings the odd one who has a bad experience the AD really don't care and to then give you a travel pouch when you've not had a watch for 16months - NO THANK YOU

Glad its all sorted
