Yacht Master Everose 40mm going up in value?

I have noticed over the past 3 months this reference (126655) is consistently going up in demand and value - now over $30k gray market where before you could get them for around $26-27...

Just curious what others think? Its a very attractive watch!

PM models prices are all rising, not just this one.

Everything is going up. I see TT climbing up well above their price. It used to be nobody would pay above MSRP for a TT sub, and now they are going off the shelves at 18k.

I don’t really trade watches, but I do like seeing what I have go up in value. I just bought an Everose YM a few weeks ago and truly love this one! Something about it-understated but still eye catching...I’m not a flashy person so never thought I’d own a PM, but this one works for me...

I’m actually surprised it’s taken this long for the 126655 / 116655 to really get traction on the secondary market. Not only are they no longer available in ADs, but they’re spectacular PM watches at less than a SS Daytona. I’m a huge fan of the Matte dial, red writing, and ceramic bezel. Killer piece.

The 116555 was, but not the 126655.

But yes, everything across the board is going up!

My prediction was this to go down in value. The past leather strap models tend to have poor resale value. If you see any past leather PM’s they dipped under 20k. I’ve seen Pm Daytona’s under 20k. Maybe oysterflex will have opposite trajectory.

If worn daily the leather needed replacement often. They did not wear that well. Oysterflex is more modern, more edgy, and they last a long time. I think through a potential buyers eyes leather is old-rolex, flex is new-rolex. People pay more for new. Just my 2 cents.

What leads you to be under that impression? It’s made out of 18k like the rest of the case.

They are in the windows over here in London so available and you won't make cash on them imo. Great watch though and a great purchase if you want to get your AD's interest in you. People buying just to make cash is a big part of the problem.

Great watch indeed. I tried it a few times at different ADs and they were always ready to be packed.

Only now have they gone missing. I’ve been quoted 2 weeks for one.

Realistically I think the watch is fairly available compared with the SS sports models is because of the price. At almost 30K with tax it’s an expensive piece. I hesitated buying it for almost a year because of it’s price, but in the end it just appealed to me and every time I visited my AD I would put it on. Bought a SS Rhodium in December so I guess I’m really drawn to the YM line.
I always hope my watches retain value but don’t really worry about hype pricing.

It's a nice looking watch. My AD refused to sell me one that was in stock.

"You don't want a yachtmaster" was the quote if I recall. Friends don't let friends type thing.

I think gasoline and meat are up about the same percentage in USA so this is pretty much devaluation of USD at this point.

The 126655 is the only reference i like in Rolex especially given it higher entry point I thought I didn't have to wait too long for my first ever Rolex, so I registered my interest in an AD in December and...... still waiting.....
