FPJ Chronometre Optimum

I am intrigued by what's written about the FPJ CO as having one of the most complicated movements despite a simple hour/minute/seconds/power reserve set of functions.

https://monochrome-watches.com/revie...m-specs-price/

For the owners, what did you like about this piece? RG or Pt? Appreciate some photos. How long typically were the wait times? thanks.

I waited about 7 months for the watch but it was well worth the wait. This one is 40mm RG. I always wanted a Journe in RG because I think they are very "warm" and come with salmon dial. The platinum is easier to match with your outfit though. Here is a pic.

Not an owner so won’t comment other than love the optimum! Congrats in advance if you go for it.

You're welcome. Happy to post a back view too. The circular counter is a dead beat second indicator.

The caseback is as awesome as the dial. Definitely a grail FPJ watch.

I have a few Journe in the collection. This one still dominates the time spent on the wrist. 40mm platinum here.

I expect wait times have moved beyond a year or more for most on this model.

It's an insane watch and my favorite FPJ model. While the Chronometre Resonance is still more impressive from a technical point of view, I much prefer the simpler look of the Optimum.

I expressed interest for mine (40mm plat) about 6 months ago and was told that I'd receive it either in 2023 or 2024, the latter one being more likely.

Thanks. May not be as different as in the USA given how small the overall production is for the brand.

Thanks for sharing. The combination of the case with the brightly colored band is very nice.

Yes, but they told me this a few months ago so it may be even longer now.

What is the current price of the gold and platinum models of these? I heard there were changes but curious what the real story is nowadays.

CO is the best model in the current FPJ range in my opinion.

I unfortunately got mine after the huge price increase of BL models, so paid around 150k.

That is spectacular. Love it in black label. Do you know how much the price increased? I have heard it was a significant rerating on the BL line.

FPJ makes some of the best watches in the business IMO. The Optimum, Resonance, and Vertical Tourbillon are just insane! GeraldGentaFan, F131F, and crod must be VIP's within the brand. Those black dials are boutique editions that they don't just allocate to anybody if I'm correct.

Patiently waiting for my first FPJ allocation....

Do you know the reason for the $29,000 difference between regular platinum and Black label? Other than the dial, Black Label and regular platinum are the exact same watch right?

Yes, it's just the black dial that's different and they decided it's worth $29k starting in 2022. A lot more than Porsche charges for paint to sample colors...

The boutique and BL CO are made in smaller quantities, but otherwise they are the same watch with different dial colours.

Yes the only difference is the dial, they only sell them by application to previous clients and at boutiques and can only make 2 BL's per model per boutique per year max (but this never happens) they make much more less.

They do make 2 black label watches per year per boutique but not per model. Just 2 BL's total.
