Seriously
It’s too much
What kind of nonsense it is these days to buy a Rolex
At the end of the it’s just a watch and we are paying full price for it to acquire

Don’t get me wrong. Very happy for you
It’s a cracker watch and you will be thrilled and enjoy it
But
Still can’t believe what u had to go through to get it

If one has money better to Just buy gray market

Sick of AD games
I get that it seems like a lot to do but the intentions behind the gifts were genuine. So, in reality, it wasn’t that big of a deal.

But I hear you. I was trying to get another piece from a larger AD and I get brushed aside.

Your test result will come clean so that you will have it soonest, so much extra stress to get what you want these days.
Congrats!

Congratz. Though it may seem like a lot of work to many, you definitely sound genuine about the gestures and the connection with your sa

[edit] great job on the COVID test

This ad was the one who sold me my first rolex. After visiting many ads in my area (and having horrible experiences) i really connected with my sa. She is a wonderful woman to the core.

I visited the ad a few times since i purchased the watch to get small gifts for family on notable occasions.

i sent pineapples from maui. I dropped off holiday baskets and bottles of champagne on a few occasions.

and then in august, for my anniversary, my wife gave the go ahead to ask for the pepsi.

I text my sa and explained why i wanted the pepsi and what it would mean for me. I specifically said “ i will only ask you this one time. How long do you think i will wait? At least 2 years?”

the response was “shouldn’t be”.

I dropped in to see them because we just got a puppy and they wanted to meet her. so i dropped in with the puppy and bottles of wine.

Fast forward to a week ago.

i brought holiday baskets, champagne, and chocolates for the rest of the team. (scary story, on the way i was almost in a horrible car accident. Someone was going in reverse on the off ramp i just exited. I had to maneuver and the bottles of champagne broke in my car. I stopped at a liquor store down the street to get replacement bottles.

I purchased some small items for family gifts and left.

Anyway, i never did re-inquire about the watch any time i was there. I genuinely wanted to see how these folks were. They truly are “family” to me.

So the owner called me a few days ago and was very happy to receive the basket and champagne (she wasn’t there when i dropped in”.

She expressed that she would love to repay the gesture. I said “well (sa) is aware of a way to repay it and i would much appreciate it when the time comes.”

got the call today from the owner and sa and they sung the news to me.

Needless to say it was memorable.
Is this actually true?

Really sorry to hear that G - best wishes and get well soon.

Many congrats OP. There’s quite a bit of surprising negativity in this thread. I’m stoked for you and looking forward to seeing some pics when you do get it.

Congrats on the BLRO! Also thanks for getting the COVID test. My mom tested positive last week and is going through a rough time, though no hospitalization so far, thankfully.

Congrats on the BLRO

But wow you really went out your way for your SA/AD. Did you do all these “gestures” for friends, family, and other places of business as well?

Congrats. A few hundred in gifts saved $10k in grey. Def further than I would go even though I’d love that call!

Picked it up.

Apparently some famous soccer player was there. He had a blue SKY Dweller and let me try it on.

Very nice piece.

Also, the guy had a nice GT3RS Porsche.

Ironically another guy walked in with a Blue Sky Dweller when I was leaving.

Anyway...
