There are only two cases a genuine movement would be in a fake watch, Example 1. above as OP's watch. Or a personal wacth owner has a fake and wants to make it better by frankenstein with genuine parts, and eventually finds its way into the public
Interesting theory. Even based on the fact locating a Daytona for under $20,000 is nearly impossible.
If your theory had any merit why not buy my brand new genuine Rolex caliber 3186 for a GMTII (Batman). For $3500 (it’s been on eBay for months)
Put it in a fake case and sell for $20,000

As I say you can “lead” a horse , but you can not make it drink from the “well”

So what if its $20K for a daytona? Scammers have credid cards.

If I were to sell a fake Batman and scam someone, why put a fake movement? Just sell the clone it comes with and not bother. Why waste money on a real movement?

The whole point of the scam is to get two watches from one Genuine.

I am trying to figure out your theory here. It seems you are implying one of 2 things, either:

1. Someone (ie. employee or vendor) at Rolex is stealing movements and selling them on a black market, unbeknownst to Rolex; or

2. Rolex is itself back dooring genuine movements to a black market, like their AD's are doing with the SS watches to grey dealers.

So what? A scammer can pay $20,000 just like anyone here. Its called a credit card.

This is NOT my theory. You missed the point completely. If YOUR theory had any merit your brand new genuine Rolex caliber 3186 was stolen from the Rolex vault. if MY theory is correct it was sourced from a Genuine watch someone bought legitamately.

Confirmed by Rolex.
Yes it comes from a fake case and bracelet

Tiger. I wonder if you are all there?
Why? Cause I got duped, something I stated multiple times.

That’s how I know that GENUINE movements are being fitted in fake cases.
I have posted that MULTIPLE times.

And to again shoot your theory down that these came from
Genuine purchased watches.
The dial is fake too.

To reiterate
These are genuine movements
Stolen from Rolex
The only way to authenticate a Rolex now is external tests The movement does not guarantee that the entire/whole watch is genuine

Now run a long.

1) You are either delusional or lying about your background as a Rolex collector. Movements stolen from Rolex and placed into fake movements? OK
WHY ON EARTH would a scammer do this? If you are going to sell a fake watch, why spend the time and money on a genuine movement? Just sell the bloody fake watch with a clone movement and make more money....
2) I bet you collect high quality fake parts and and real parts and build Frankens. When you are ready to move on from the watch, you part it out and sell the pieces.
Run along to your franken collection Adam

Interesting
You are selling a movement from that you know that it has been stolen?

Questionable ethics at best and looking forward to what happens when the movement returns to Rolex for service.

I‘d ban you for selling stolen goods on ebay

Selling stolen goods. Its called fencing. And its illegal. What if the poor buyer sends that movement in for service. You admit Rolex says its a genuine stolen movement.

Rolex confirmed his genuine movement, stolen from their inventory, in a fake case, and didn't mind. Adam, what did Rolex tell you when they ran the serial and it came up as stolen?

Wait a minute... Don't you run some sort of business that teaches people to spot fake Rolex? Now you are saying you were duped by a fake case, dial, and hands?

Now I understand why you always ask for movement pictures on these threads. You can't tell if the case, dial, or hands are fake.

Is this genuine movement you obtained from a fake watch you were duped into buying stolen, or not? You haven't been very clear. How would you know if it was stolen or not?

So in theory, Gladiator is perpetuating his own idea of genuine movements in fake cases by selling a genuine movement by itself, for any scammer to put in any case. Bold move. It's kinda like he's trying to physically prove his own point.

My thought is we need to be able to buy just the OEM movement. Not the whole watch. That will become more and more important as Rolex starts to ‘run out’ of vintage watch parts. As with classic card, OEM parts come from donor cars. We need to be able to do the same thing with watches.

Thanks.
But it’s of no concern to me.

Sadly these forums have turned into personal emotional attacks rather than helping people “watchout”.
When I came here it was a place to read, learn and help people.
Now nothing to learn, and the many that post are not giving help to OP or talking about genuine or fakes. But personal attacks against people.
Like Kappo - when was last time he actually gave advice on a watch??

I will continue to try to help people not get duped but I am not entering into internet flame wars with stupid people
Once again thanks your input on these forums
Even if I don’t agree with it all, it’s polite and ULTRA professional
