Can I See Your SubC or SubC Dates on NATO

I’m in love with my Ref. 116610 Submariner Date. A big reason for my love affair is the marvel that is the Glidelock clasp and, of course, Rolex’s metallurgy brilliance with 904L steel and the Oyster bracelet.

That said, for a little fun/change up, I’m considering putting the watch on NATO. I’ve been a big believer that NATO would look better on a 5-digit 14060M or 16610.

So ... can you guys prove me wrong/help me out and show me some stunning pics of your SubC and/or SubC Dates on NATO?

A couple of mine before I sold them for a 5 digit Sub.

I also think the 5 digits are better suited to a nato than the 6 digits.

The last pic with your 5-digit Submariner Date on NATO is a stunner. These photos give good perspective. Almost like the 6-digit on NATO aesthetic varies and is dependent on angle and wrist shape, whereas every 5-digit Submariner or Submariner Date on NATO looks like it’s meant to be.

Not quite a Sub-C but a 5 digit 14060M on one of our black & grey MORA straps

I think the thicker lugs on the 6 digit models actually come into their own on a nato. It looks substantial compared to the 5 digit but less ‘blocky’ than when it’s on a bracelet.

I agree, the 6 digits work great on a NATO just as the 5 digits do. They both offer a different look but I see the appeal of both designs.

Nope. Accentuates the fat lugs. Even worse on leather.

No longer have it as I prefer lug holes and non ceramic inserts.

That said it was fun, I used shoulderless spring bars (snip them out when going back to bracelet).

I do the same with my Explorer when it is strap day.

Shoulderless bars eliminate any "strap pull" of the shouldered spring bars thus keeping the head on the strap. Overkill but why not.

Here are the others on a strap since we are posting pics:

14060M (no longer have)

16610 Project (Current EDC)

Not really. The beefy lugs look best on the five series imo

I like the quality of this NATO strap. The weave looks finer than most. The only time I have seen such high quality NATOs are the Bond straps from Omega. Thanks.

NATOs look best on the five series Subs. The beefy lugs on the SubC make it look lopsided with anything but the bracelet imo
