Any experts in here on this? I think the newest version offers the shortest lug to lug, but the older versions have the wings. And I'd like a shorter lug to lug + wings combo!
The latest 43mm version in black with the B has the display back while the winged version does not. It's the one I'm considering and it really is the classic Breitling.

One of my obsessions is the IWC Doppelchrono 3711 or 3713. There are many chronographs, but not many split second chronographs in that price range.

I was on the same chrono search last year. I owned a Speedy Moonwatch in the past, but I sold it, too.

I was really drawn in by the looks and legibility of the Hamilton Auto Chrono. Plus, I like that this relatively new version is a nod to one of their '60s vintage releases, back when they were still made in America. I love mine and have no regrets! It is 40mm and sits wonderfully on my 7.25" wrist.

The El Primero is phenomenal. One pet peeve I have with it, however, is the overlapping of the hours counter on top of the minutes counter. It makes no sense and should be the other way around. This has started to be rectified in newer models, but not all of them have gone through the change.

Happy with this “easy” to get ones......

Nice choice.

Surprised no one had mentioned the GP Laureato line too...38 and 42mm sizes and some nice color schemes.

I really love my Zenith Striking 10th. What is cool/different about this is that the chronograph hand completes a circuit around the watch in 10 seconds - not a full minute, which allows you to measure down to the 1/10th of a second. Really cool to watch the hand move that fast.

Surprised that Longines Big Eye wasn’t mentioned! Amazing watch at a reasonable price. And it’s a strap monster!

Well after all of this i went with....

A speedmaster! Lol.

But not the hesalite (after trying this twice). Got the sapphire crystal version and am loving it.

The crystal gives me piece of mind and I kinda dig the milky ring everyone hates. It makes the watch wear smaller to me which I appreciate.

Congratulations! That would have been, and was, my choice.

How about one of these?

Or if you want to go dressy, Zenith does a great job too :-)

Sinn also makes affordable and great pieces too :-)

Ebel BTR 45mm. Daytona is just too small for me and I love white dial chronographs. This fills the gap nicely.

I like that one a lot. Specially love how the pushers stick out a bunch.

Unfortunately it’s too big for my wrist.
