This is one of the most beautiful classic Rolex watch (Modern). Well shaped and clear simple design.

With it being discontinued, I could see it coming back with minimal changes but with a jubilee band.

Glad that you could get your hand on one. Enjoy it and never let it go!

I wish they wouldn’t have 86’d this. I think an all black GMT w only slight colored accents looks great (aka, this one). Kind of weird to me they’d kill it off and only have colors when Rolex is quite conservative as a brand

Wow. This is amazing and indeed a lucky find.

I was in Dubai airport late February 2020 this year and the gentleman at the AD told me he had one 116710LN in stock in the basement and it was for me if I wanted it.

A SeaDweller and a SS Datejust blue was on display, but I asked him if there was anything else in SS. When he mentioned the GMT LN, I could believe it and got super excited.

He had to first check a list. If I had ever purchased a SS watch in the Airport before. I didn't so off he went to the basement. He came back with a coffin and turns out it was a Submariner No Date. The GMT LN had been sold to someone else a few hours ago appearently.

The LN was never that popular, not even in 2012-15. I don't think it was a huge MUST to kill the model, it was played out. Only when it got discontinued people felt the need to have it. Same with the Hulk etc.

And also, you’re helping your AD meet payroll obligations and potentially contributing to keeping someone from being furloughed, so good on you!

I had one in 2014, Loved it then! Love it now! had the chance to buy the Batman at the time in 2014 & passed it for the black. You can't argue with Continuity & Aesthetics, something a 2 tone bezel could never capture- You may be right, but those of us that truly loved the GMT never felt it was played out, it's just as a classic staple as is the Submariner- sorry to see it GO!

Thank you! We have to acknowledge times of crisis & remind each other that we are all in this as a collective, united & fighting for the same cause- Agree 100%, the GMT ceramic is ALL TIME favorite & was my 1st ever Rolex in 2014- has a sentimental place.

Good catch. I've sold my Batman and my Hulk (at different times), but I've never tired of my LN. It's my daily... Since Basel 2019, no more steel GMT with Oyster bracelet, so you got a classic.

I’m surprised Rolex doesn’t bring that back because there are lots of people that just don’t like the BLRO or BLNR.
Agreed though more generally I think the bigger loss when Rolex moved away from the single-color bezel was the use of YG.

Both the TT and the YG GMTs were very good looking and lot more classic than the Root Beer models.

I Love the YG 2 tone GMT as well! I have to say it is surprising to find that you can buy that model sometimes on the gray market for less than what you would pay for a SS model! Having said that, I think the SS has a lot more versatility! the YG is nice, But for 2 tone, I think the Submariner bezel on the two tone YG looks much cleaner overall!
