I like that the movement was updated so you get the 60 hour power reserve but case is also thinner now. My largest issue with the 15450 is the proportions. Felt it was a but chunky. After owning the jumbo with its svelte case, the 37mm felt a bit cumbersome. The 15550 strikes a nice balance.

Yea they do wear bigger. This sizing works well up to 7.5" wrist measurement. My perfect fit is 36mm which is why I love the vintage ROs as well.

I don't how much they do or don't save by buying the movements from Vaucher vs producing them in-house, but I suspect that a much stronger motivation is the desire to (slowly) increase production, where one could reasonably expect movement production to be the limiting factor. Being able to sell a few thousand more watches makes a bigger dent than saving a few CHF on some of the movements.
