1675 mk1 incoming!

Ok not really a new one but excited to get this one back from a refinish and crystal replacement from LAWW.

Nice vintage GMT, dial seems relumed ? Case looks crisp. Wear in good health

It’s not relumed…zinc sulfide. Not sure what makes you say that.

Thanks everyone! It’s my designated travel watch.

On a side note, I know it’s probably been asked before, but does anyone know if there is any trick to setting the date faster on the non-quickset movements? Takes like 5 minutes turning the crown to set the date if it’s really far off.

Only advice I can give you is that you can set it forward or in reverse. Whichever is closest to the current date. Beautiful watch BTW!

Indeed, the best of both worlds - crossover features of a gilt era gmt combined with the utility of a matte dial.

Wow, that looks beautiful. Not sure if your refinishing is referring to the case but it looks great.

After 10 years with my '67 1675 I finally sent it off the Beau at LAWW to have the case refinished and Beau did a stellar job on it. Best decision I ever made with my GMT.

Yes they do a spectacular job, I don’t think I would trust anyone else.

Thanks! Apparently I forgot about this and also can’t remember if it affects the movement in any way, setting it backwards.

I’m so sorry dude… your house was broken into in LA? Was any of it in a safe? This is becoming way too common.

There needs to be a watch SN registry, they are getting way too expensive.

Yes in LA. The entire safe was taken with our entire watch collection. The serial numbers have already been submitted to the Rolex stolen watch registry and multiple other watch registries, including the police.
