15400 too big in your opinion?

Yes absolutely, The dimensions just look weird with the date wheel to close to the center.
I will post a review with pics as soon as AP comes over presenting all the novelties.

Also pushing the AP fanatics who prefers the classic 39mm to the 15202 for double the cost.

15400 (41mm) - Stainless $16900 MSRP
15202 (39mm) - Stainless $22500 MSRP

Wow! They are proud of the new 15202, but I'm sure it's worth it.

I can understand that. I guess not being a 'fanatic' and preferring larger watches, the 15400 might be a good choice. It's not a ROO, as it a dressier watch that you can wear under dress shirt.

I understand how classic it is, but for me 39mm may wear a little small (more towards a 5167 PP) and 15400 will give a little more 'beef' without the punch of a ROO. But the 15300 is still in play also.

Just thinking out loud...

15400

Paul, I would recommend trying on the 15300 before you write it off for the 15400. I tried one on a couple months ago and IMO it wore bigger than a 39mm.

Have them both tried on before you make your decision, It does wear a lot bigger then 39mm

Yea?? I noticed in pic's it looks nice and chunky.. I kept thinking to myself before getting one, how can I get a damn 39mm piece and be happy with it?! I can't find a 300 to try here in FLA at the moment... 400 looks nice mm

I wonder when AP 'stopped' manufacturing the 15300 and how many they still are floating out there?

As new 15202 and 15400 start entering the market, supply will be short I imagine.

Still on site, but not sure about availability.

don't worry about availbility... no longer as common but AP said it will be available in the next 2 years, although I think albeit lower production numbers.

On why they decided to do away with a 39mm for the modern RO reiteration... I'd say to milk the cow till its dry...

Are those to meet existing orders (already spoken for) or are they just producing the 15300 for another two years?

Well it got too quiet here--maybe because it Friday. Since I did not get pushed over on 15300 (sure wish Thomas had been around), I went with a 'classic' that I have owned before and thought time to get a new one back (need something to tide me over until my other AP arrives).

Sat delivery, but post will be on different discussion forum--and no, not PP Dan

I think it is going to be produced until ALL of their ADs and Botiques get their hands on the new versions

That sounds a bit odd, I would think they would take those working on the 15300 and put them on the 15400.

AP told me the same thing 15300 is discontinued but will still be available for at least this and probably next year too....But i still haven't got a explanation why i have about 12 15300 on backorder with no estimated delivery date

I'm thinking the demand on 15300's has gone from popular to the roof since they presented the bulkier 15400 and have got too many orders while they are still out there.

Ah kinda boring compared to some of these others, but needed one back in the mix. 15300 is probably still a go, just want to get it on my wrist at an AD.

Thanks Thomas, I would have to think it would have to do something with making customers happy or filling existing orders..

Otherwise you would think they would just swicth the workforce over to making the new model.

Had a 15300.
Sold it last year.
Most stupid thing I heve ever done, watchwise that is. It hurts. It really hurts.

But still, my vote goes to the 15202. This is a picture I took in my humble little studio. The watch is from a friend.
