Need help with first pre-owned purchase
Looking to purchase first pre-owned Rolex for my wife (Midsize two tone datejust). There are a couple of deals online but I’m looking for advice.
I’m trying to decide between an online only dealer or an out of state brick and mortar store. The online dealer is about $300 cheaper and while it has ok reviews and guarantees, something is drawing me to the brick and mortar store (even though it is out of state). Does it really matter since they both would essentially be “online” |

"On-Line" may be nothing more than a guy in his shorts with a list in front of him of what he can get his hands on. Might not even have a business license.
Brick and Mortar you can go in, check what they have, and do some research on the actual business.

Call Takuya. He's in Houston. You can be here and meet him in 4 hours. Or you can buy online from his Website. He's legit, great prices. Also look up Lee in the for sale section... I think he just moved to Dallas from Houston. He's another well know and well respected gray dealer.

Call one of the trusted sellers, or several of them, and tell them what you want. If they don't have it they'll look for it. I agree they don't keep a lot of ladies models in inventory but they can get them as easily as anything else.

This. I'm sure many of the sellers here have lists of what their sources have available. Just try contacting a few of them.

Go to the Classified section and read the Who's who section. People report their dealings with sellers and buyers on the forum. This is a very safe place to buy a watch and not get ripped off if you buy the seller and look for someone who has very good feedback. People who are long time members here value their reputation and would not do anything to screw it up.

OK, I sent out some emails to the TRF Trusted Sellers and it looks like Alex Pig has the watch I am looking for and we are currently working out the details. He is located in HK so I am a little nervous about an International purchase, but the feedback I can find on this site about him is positive.
Just curious, does anyone have any additional feedback about him? |

Just do your research on the seller as well as the watch you want. Believe it or not, there are scammers in TRF as well.

determine who the online guy is i would be couscous. If its a trusted seller who's on here with many transaction reviews then your fine. If its a chrono24 or something i would stay away.
