But I thought it was about......misconceptions in song lyrics.

Probably everyone in their teens and beyond is guilty of singing along to pop songs and getting the words wrong.

Here are some songs that people misunderstood the meaning of the songs...

Great thread

When we were in our teens we had these things called Sony Walkman’s… remember those?

We used to play a game where we’d throw on the Walkman, turn up the volume and someone would get to pick the song for the wearer to sing to the group.

I still remember getting Blinded By The Light (Manfred Man ~ Springsteen)

I think I might have got 25% of the lyrics right

I like the story of Joan Baez recording 'The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down'. She didn't use a lyric sheet in the studio and sang the words as she had heard them on The Band's original recording. Trouble was, she had misheard several of them and her version includes a number of unintended lyric revisions.
