What size is this dial?

Hi, I blindly purchased my first vintage rolex from an auction house. It obviously has some form of custom dial, and is apparently a 6294.

My issue is I want to change the dial, as its a very bright yellow at present (see attached), however for the life of me can't find a replacement.

Any ideas? I don't mind if the new dial is an aftermarket one as I don't plan to sell it.

Help is appreciated, I'm at the point of colouring it in with a sharpie.
I also need a new crown and stem for it, when I unscrewed the crown on this one it pinged across the room.

I think its a 1210 movement, isnt it? So the dial should be the same as 6466 preicion Oysterdate. Most of this area have original honeycomb dials. A lovely size which -on my point of view- is underrated. But that yellow dial is worth to get changed (-;

Regarding your crown/Stem problem, i think, just the crown (the crown winding for connecting the stem) might be the problem.

Usually they are easily to get in ebay or chrono24.

Are you sure this was not on the 6494?
6294 with a 740?

These early watches shared the same size through a series of models (34mm). The later models had an approximate 27mm dial and I wonder if that would be the same as the OPs..

.
I would recommend taking to a watchmaker to show you the movement, verify the model number and take note of the serial number to date accordingly. I would also ask to take out the dial, take the dimension and snap a picture of the backside (this may help you on sourcing one in the future).

Reason why you do not see them for sale is sellers do not know "what fits what" so they may advertise as "Rolex Oysterdate Precision" not knowing the model specifically.

.
I looked back at some dials I've owned and found one that was sold as a 6094 / 6294 Oysterdate Precision dial.

This was a picture of the back and it measured 27.7mm.
Hopefully we can help you narrow this down..

Photo update

Hey, managed to buy a rolex case back remover, some tiny screw drivers and took the watch apart.

Here are some photos. That face is definitely 27mm.

Any further thoughts from anyone? Help is greatly appreciated.
