BLNR price tread

Hi all BLNR owners

Just for fun and out of curiosity let's share how much we bought our BLNRs and country, I'm sure we all would like to compare our purchase! I'll start:

Country: Malta
Price: €6,900

Cheers

You got a nice deal! Here in Mexico the BLNR is really rare and most ADs have waiting lists and offer no discount (so, around $9000).

What innocent times? Already the 1. answer states that they are "rare" and there`s a waiting list!

The only message is: Buy as early you can and dont sell it ever!

This is very interesting, I think.

Since Norway has a 25% value added tax, which is rebated to Americans exiting the country, doesn't this make this a pretty good deal at about $7500 USD?

No discount at my AD either, paying full retail 9,680 USD$. I live in Maine though and my AD is small, maybe some bigger AD's in Boston have more stock and more wiggle room, but not from what I've heard.

Are you sure that this is a real AD??? The retail price on that watch is $8,950.

Quoted $8,400 in US from AD that I've done lots of business with.

Plan is to wait a bit and offer $8,000.

In terms of availability - my preferred AD had one, nearby AD had two; both dealers were hiding them in the safe.

Purchased at AD in Virginia Beach. I got it for retail, slightly below 9k.

Bought mine in Toronto for $8,110.00 CAN plus sales tax. Retail price was $9,650.00 CAN. In US currency today that would be about $7,266.00US.

That's a very competitive offer price. It makes sense for a US guy to take a mini-trip to Toronto and buy it there. Wear it home and maybe no customs to worry about.

I'd say that is more than just a very competitive offer price...that price is a steal for the BLNR!

It is still smuggleing and the possibility of being caught and loosing the watch and jail time makes full retail and tax very attractive.

I can't imagine anyone doing jail time for a purchase on a single item for personal use. Try that stunt in the UK and, if caught, you'll most likely get hit with the VAT that you're trying to avoid and a possible fine. For them to confiscate the watch, you'd have to do or say something very stupid indeed to seriously piss them off.

It'll be cheaper to fly to Canada than to buy it here

Maybe I should consider the 2 hr drive to Dallas...however, with the 10% tax here and there is may not make that much difference...still a 5 figure price tag...

Caribbean AD $8,050 out the door with no sales tax. They threw-in a rolex knife to take the sting out of an $8k price tag.

I was going to buy one. I was priced at $8000 even. Before taxes. 8680 after taxes. Sadly, I wasn't satisfied with the fit. If it fit right, that's the price I would have paid.

I was quoted $7400 in Italy last week. I couldn't pull the trigger because I was unsure if I wanted a watch similar to my Sub C and the Panerai 422 I tried on the day before was stuck in my head.
