Not a fan of the white dial... especially for that price.

And I’ve got the least desirable of them all, 5726 on a strap. But it’s my favorite.

The strap version is now estimated at up to 50K before premium (20-25 percent premium), http://www.sothebys.com/en/auctions/...html?locale=en
last auction was estimated at 35 max, and those guys are not keyboard speculators, they know the market. We'll see what happen. Anyway, i don't think it's unlikely to ask and get close to 100K for the bracelet version in today's market. |

I actually prefer the 5726 on strap over bracelet.

It's actually a small range for auction, it should've been 30-50 (the range a 5712/1a "grail" got on the same auction. i am reminding again, this is the strap version of 5726 we are talking about!), we'll see what happen.
vandyologist- Amazing watch! and now you are awarded for going against the "5712 is best, blue and sporty" hype ! well done. |

Crazy how this watch was sitting around with no interest for so long and now it is hot as can be. I've always liked it! Congrats to those who have it in their collection!

Those who paid big premiums for the 5726 1a might be disappointed, my AD just confirmed the blue dial. Beautiful! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

People don't care what the thing can do but how rare it is and the fact they can't get it. The only effect would be north, to my humble opinion. |

If we compare the 5205 where they discontinued the white and the grey (I believe) and came out with the blue, I don’t see it moving to a higher premium for the 2 discontinued 5726 - the blue one will always command a higher price.

But don't feel bad, we all saw a product called "AMZN" retail for 100 USD 7 years ago, sitting on the shelf of millions "AD", brand new and you could just pick it up in a sec, now retail for 17 (seventeen) times that |

Of course, there is a line for how much premium, if you go head and pay a million dollar for 991R (some say some did), don't come crying back for lose. Any way, if there is ONE thing we can learn from that, Rarity sale, Speculation fail. Simple example, the 991 turbo S Exclusive series (limited and numbered), hardly ever mentioned by youtube fan boys or forum worrier, while selling for half a million dollars all day long. And- the 5726/1A-001/010 are RARE. few production years, fewer produce in general. We will get an idea in few days when 5726A (strap) goes under the hammer. if it really sale for what is estimated (65K), no reason the 1A won't be at 100K easy. |

So the strap version which always sell for about half the price of the bracelet and was not discontinued, just sold for 56K http://www.sothebys.com/en/auctions/...01/lot.60.html
Which is 50 percent more than it's last auction and only about 18 percent behind the "grail of all SS nautilus" in the same auction http://www.sothebys.com/en/auctions/...01/lot.56.html You can stop rolling on the floor from laughter because next time a bracelet 5726 come to an auction it wouldn't be away from the 100K But look at this, some one made an incredable deal snapping a vintage full size nautilus for this "redicoulos" price (in today's numbers), just becouse "TT is not "in"". Well done! this 3700 is AMAZING!! http://www.sothebys.com/en/auctions/...01/lot.21.html |

5726 pricing!
Dude, quit referencing f'n Sotheby's auctions. That price is higher than most asking prices on Chrono24, which are already high. When I see a known great asking over those prices (since they are going to get a bit lower than ask), I'll believe it.
At the end of the day, I could care less. I just find it hilarious that a model nobody wanted not all that long ago is even demanding a premium at all now. And the strap version isn't even discontinued...... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

True. But even when the hype started around the 5711/5712, 5726 could still be had, especially on strap. To demand an even higher premium than before when it wasn't even discontinued doesn't make much sense to me. Now the bracelet version does somewhat since it has, except for the new blue 014. Not a heck of a lot about the current climate in the watch world makes any sense at all.
