Looks to be about the same based on chrono24 however white dial is discontinued. Grey dial you can still get with strap only, white was never produced with strap.

Grey dial is more rare (on bracelet) and demand much more money by owners/dealers. I guess people look at the different between 5711 blue and white an project it here. However, still it's in huge demand too.

Few ADs told me the same. They got less white dial watches but grey dial was more sought after compared to white dial

I'm very close to swapping in my gray dial + a little cash for a 5270G. It's so much more watch.

Quoted $25k + 5726/1a for a 5270G-001, but in a month or two at this rate it might be even!

Even still that seems nuts to swap a watch that retails at $46k + $25k for a watch that retails at $160k

IMHO it feels like you'd be adding too much $$ in the trade at the moment - they've been listed for around 98 - 110k with different Trusted Sellers yet the 5726/1a are few and far between and the 'ask's (on c24) hover around 115k

This bull run on the Nautilus models feels like when Bitcoin went up to $20K+ in <6 months. Then went tumbling down to $3.5K. Now $10K again.

It's not even close. Bitcoin is a pure virtual speculation, in opposed to that, The nautilus shape is set and permanent as a status symbol like a Birkin Bag and it won't change in the far to mid future. The 5726 is a rare nautilus for few reasons and now the final boost of discontinued. Few months ago i go slapped for saying it will reach 100K USD soon, now the 100K mark is getting far behind, price might moderate but won't drop.

Bit coin is not pure speculation. It’s only part of it... how else do people move money out of a country?

So tempting, but in a weird way it sort of devalues the 5270 a bit if we start seeing many of these straight-ish swaps, they should be more price exclusive, becoming like the Sub of the Grand comps world.

Well in fairness the 5726 is discontinued for grey and white bracelet and it's an annual calendar nautilus. The price isn't far off a 5990 still in production and 5712 likewise. Nautilus is hot at the mo so it would be strange if a discontinued piece isn't hitting a number higher than prod pieces.

The 5270p is sought after and seems to be going for around 1.5m HKD and above with Grey's. Demand not so high for G and R.
