"Explorer" trio

Inspired by lee fowler' GMT trio

1978 1016, 1991 14270 & 2016 BB36

The BB36 is a bit of a "cheat" but I felt it's closest in spirit to the explorer 1 family from the modern collection.

Other than the size, I'd argue that the Tudor Ranger is more of a modern day Explorer than the 214270 itself.

I agree that the Tudor Ranger is probably the closest in terms of styling. But there's just something about the 36mm that feels right to me.

If only they make a 3-6-9 dial for the bb36..

Or, simply make a 36 mm Ranger...that would be killer!

However, doubt Rolex would ever let that happen.
