Incoming Blue 15500

Got the call Monday (6/10) that my 15500 was finally at the Bal Harbour Boutique. Thanks to Francina for all of her help.

I placed my deposit first week of May, watch was in hand June 11th. Haven’t had a chance to get it sized yet but some teaser pics below:

How much of a deposit did they ask for? I’ve had a couple of ADs ask for full payment up front for a couple of the higher in demand APs. Not loving it, but seems like the only way to guarantee priority.

25% of retail was all they asked for, I’d try best to go straight to a boutique if you have that as an option. Bal Harbour in FL was great.

Yes! I’ve spoken to them. We don’t have an AP in San Francisco and this boutique has been one of the most professional and accommodating I’ve spoken to.

Congrats! Did you have prior history with the boutique, since you were able to get a blue dial allocation?

Don't recommend putting full payment up front. I currently have a 5k deposit on my 15500

I actually had zero prior experience with any AP boutique. I did have an issue with my ROO ghost which could have slated me higher on the list for this piece. Check out my other thread “AP fell off Ghost”

Haven’t really had a chance to wear this, I think this will be a dinner/evening out watch and the ghost will be more my daily to work etc..

Not to go on a soap box here, but this honks me off considering people are attempting to flip these things for $10K above retail. Not saying you would do it, but there's a lot of people out there right now where their motive is to flip the watch.

I wouldn't be surprised if someone is reading this post right now and getting ideas in planted in their head.

Yeah i don’t really have plans on flipping the watch. The only thing i did possibly consider was trading for the new 15500OR which would certainly reap the benefit of the trade value. But I’m pretty happy with steel and the value retention there so i will most likely stay put and enjoy it as one should

It's not you I'm worried about. It's the people who are reading this with secondary motives.

Agreed. I don’t expect they will have availability like I did getting the blue 15500. It was a back and forth with former NA CEO regarding a bad experience that I had at the NYC boutique that enabled it. I was an AP customer (had the ghost and a 15400st blue dial, just never a relationship with the boutique)

Wow! That is stunning, it’s making me think about getting a blue dial over the grey one.
