Got the call from the AD today!!! But missed the boat

Got the call from the AD that he got a Stainless Sub no-date in today. He left me a voicemail at 3:43 PM and I called him back at 3:54 PM. Called him back and someone else had bought it. Bummer. Oh well, maybe it's a blessing to not shell out that much right before X-Mas.

Obviously not a valued customer then. Go elsewhere.

Thankfully the no date sub isn’t as hard to come by as some others

Not a fan of the no date, but they sure didn't give you much time to respond!

Agreed. I'm not a valued customer, having only set up the relationship back in June with some purchases for my wife. He told me he notified three people at once and the first guy to respond got it. I'm not that bummed, honestly. There will be other opportunities.

Geez, they couldn't give you the benefit of calling back. Eleven minutes!! Sounds like they kept calling down the list.

That’s a weak move by the AD.

Hunger Games approach is just to amuse the ADs as they watch you dance, should just choose the customer most valued and give them a day to respond.

At least they tried to call you. I heard some AD's won't bother calling for a sub, since people walk in all the time asking for subs. Just sell to the next client who walks in.

What exactly happened? This seems like extremely poor service by the AD and I would have been miffed.

They should have saved the watch for you for at least 24 hours if they left you a voicemail about it. If they just planned to call the next guy, they shouldn’t have left you a voicemail.

Very bad service if that’s how it went down.

That's the rule they follow. They call #1 on the list - if he don't pick, they call #2 and so on. They will not wait with stock in hand when they can have the sale in next 5 minutes.

Why are you on that list then? Did you put yourself on that list?

Very generous with the max time to respond.

Guess Rolex buyers aren’t working and merely at home on a Forum or something.

Sorry about it bud. Same thing happened to me in September, didn't expect a call so soon. Bought used at same price with tax (shrugs shoulders) what a time to be alive.

Wow, that's pretty grimey. I get that times are tough but can't even give you 10 minutes to call back. I would still wait for the next call but maybe take my business elsewhere in the future.

11 minutes? that's just bad form. Should have left message to say you had an hour or at least to the end of the day

Several ADs told me they won’t leave voicemails. They call and the person who answers gets the chance. People who don’t answer their phone get hung up on and the next person in line is called.

Fair enough really

I can live with that policy too

Exactly....otherwise you’d have to wait a period of time between each call, giving each person a certain amount of time. If you offered person B an hour and person A called back to confirm you upset person B etc

Sorry you missed out, but I don't have an issue with how the AD manages his stock.

I think they should of at least given you an hour. The watch would still be sold by the end of the day so what does it matter to them.

My thoughts exactly. Very shitty of that AD to not at least hold it for the day for you. Shop somewhere else. You shouldn't have a huge wait to source that model.

That’s really annoying for you. If it makes it better, at least it wasn’t a daytona c! Fingers crossed you’ll find your sub soon, they’re not too hard to come by
