Franken Rolex

I figured this might be a fun new thread, considering the theme on the forum these days.

Well, fun for me anyway...

Picked up a BLNR, an Oysterflex strap, and I had glidelock from a bracelet I kept from a watch in the past.

My boy Chadri was nice enough to send me some end links.

I get them in the mail today. So tomorrow, I hook up my completely OEM franken Rolex.

Considering I am a HUGE OF fan, and I like the colors and functionality of the BLNR and I LOVE The glidelock, I think this is going to be a great watch.

Exciting...

Pics when it is complete.

I like where your BLNR is headed. I've often thought about swapping out bracelets to other OEM bracelet or strap options on certain models. Have it your way, brother!

I wouldn't call it a Franken as it's got all Rolex parts. It sounds nice.

It's a no brainer and doesn't matter one bit what purists or "experts" think, you are simply pushing the tech updates a few years ahead because the glidlock should be universal and I assume in some form it will be, soon.

well, I had a problem implementing this plan.

I actually really quite like the BLNR on jubilee. while waiting for the end links (usps is horrible) I wore the watch as is. I really really like it.

so as a solution I am picking up a blue dial YM 126622 in order to put the OF on.

I think I will like it near to as much as I like my 116655. We shall see though....

gosh golly, I have serious problems....

Did you make any adjustments on the size of the OF straps, or just figure the glidelock would make up for it?

I have a couple of options with the strap.

so when I size it, I will make certain I use the right sizes....
