Fast sky rocket
I recently acquired a small ww2 era Rolex sky rocket. Made for the Canadian air forc market. I wind it up and within 2 hours it has gained 6 minutes.so I decided to monitor it over 24 hrs and it's still 6 minutes.
My question is what would make something start fast then level off? |

Are you keeping it in the same position the whole time? I've known this to affect some of my vintage.

Check if hands are loose. If you shook it in first 2 hours the minute hand - if loose - may have moved forward 6 minutes. Thereafter if may have kept perfect time if you left it alone. Similar thing happened to me once and also baffled me until I figured it out.
