How to propertly store a vntage rolex

I have a safe in my house. The vintage watches that i have, that are not in my regular rotation, are likely going to be in my safe. I have each watch in a zip lock bag in my safe.....is this proper? Should i be doing something else? I noticed someone that was using silicone pouches as well to reduce moisture. I think my safe is fire and flood proof. Any thoughts?

Will my storage technique damage my trit. dials or hands?

A safe is fine. Be sure to get a dehumidifier or some bags of silica. Also, you may want to invest in a watch storage box. They are inexpensive and work great

The wages of poor storage sin. My beautiful black gloss 18XX Day Date dial now with tarnished markers. It spent two or three years in a dial tin with tissue wrapping.

Here it is in better days...

Those sticks will clean up pretty nice with careful use of a polishing cloth. Don't try to get the sides but the tops of them will shine right up. Obviously, try to avoid contact of the cloth to the dial face. Or, the more faint of heart can ask a jeweler/dial guy to do it. Post some "after" pics!
