I spend enough time looking at my phone throughout the day. I don't need another screen on my wrist to stare at

..and the rubber fitness bands are a bit like the old sweat bands. I see a lot of seemingly unfit looking folks rocking them. Who knows though? Perhaps they are monitoring steps, jiggles calories and heart rate, perspiration etc in preparation for their weekly triathlon.

I wear a vivosmart 4, which really looks like a black rubber bracelet. I am thinking of getting a Oura ring.

I've been wearing an Apple Watch on my right wrist and a mechanical on my left for about the past 6 months. Still self conscious about it. My son tells me I am a tool! I wear the apple watch to track fitness and sleep (wear it at night). It is OK with long sleeves on but not sure what I am going to do when the weather warms up.

I wear my Rolex on the left and my Apple watch on the right. Been doing that for about 2 years. When anyone asks I say "we have 2 wrists for a reason :-)". I could care less what anyone thinks. I work in IT and love technology as much as I love mechanical watches so why not be able to enjoy both at the same time.

Wear Rolex on the left wrist. On workout days, wear Apple watch on the right--usually all day to track total activity. Some days, I am self-conscious (i.e feel too geeky) to pull it off and some days it is ZFG.
Now, if I was a fall risk, or if I was worried about a-fib and my heart rate in general, then I wouldn't care and would wear every day.

I don't own a single Apple product (seriously, not one) and I absolutely hate the idea of "smart watches" so to track my steps I went with a Fitbit Zip. Love this little guy. I leave it on my belt or in my pocket and I don't have to have a hunk of plastic strapped to my wrist. Best part about these.... you don't have to charge them!!! One of those key fob batteries will last 6+ months. So nice to no have to plug yet another device in at night.
If anyone is looking for a cheap, convenient, less obnoxious step tracker I definitely recommend getting one of these |

That’s a hard no. I mean I seriously don’t get the smart watch thing. Phone does the same thing. Don’t give me that business about fitness either. I don’t need a watch to tell me my heart rate and steps. You know how hard you are going in the gym and how long your are working out. Bathroom scale also useful. Can the “smart” watch and just strap on the Rolex.

I wear mechanical on the left and apple watch 4 on the right. I find the apple watch incredibly convenient and limit the number of alerts I get on it. Hardly ever take the phone out of my pocket. I could give 2 sh!ts what people think.

People who are world class athletes might need something like that when the train, because if you're trying to win the Tour de France detailed training data is necessary. Most people who are just athletic or fit don't really need one. We intuitively already have a great sense as to what we are doing, yet don't need the detailed data because for us marginal differences aren't that important. Unfit people (or people who treat the gym as a social scene) buy and wear them because it's easier to buy something and make it seem like you are really getting fit, as opposed to simply working really hard at the basics and drastically cleaning up your diet. |

Not me. Rolex are heavy and I wear them fairly loose. Uncomfortable to work out with. They go in the safe and Apple Watch goes on when working out.

The fitness trackers appear to be particularly useful if you want duff information according to the latest test results from the UK consumer magazine Which.

I have an Apple watch, stopped wearing it as it made me jumpy. I guess the device being on the skin can do that, so I do not wear both at a time.
