Congrats!!!

I see you have a Mac. Try out a few RAW converters and see what you like. Nikon's free viewer is pretty good now, but their for-fee NX2 converter is very powerful and can do quite a bit of things that you'd need pretty advanced Photoshop skills to do. With that said, I think it is a little clunky when it comes to workflow.

Apple's Aperture is popular, as is Adobe Lightroom. All can be tried via trial versions.

Thanks a LOT for the info! I am planning to buy aperture in coming week so we'll see how things go.
