One year later, and I LOVE my snowflake....

.......even more than when I first got it.

I still cannot believe the level of hand finishing on this watch for the price point, when you compare it to the Swiss watches.

Having owned the PP 5726A and currently the owner of the 5990, I put the level of finishing of the snowflake right up there with, if not superior in some ways, to either Nautilus.
And the best part is that I can wear my GS to work w/o anyone knowing or caring except me, every time I admire the way the light hits the dial at a particular angle.

I'm actually now thinking seriously of adding the SBGH 273. The reviews I've read and videos I've seen make it look like a great addition for daily wear.

Case yes, dial yes, movement no and bracelet no in my opinion.

gram for gram the best value watch, but Mayweather can't stand in the ring with Tyson :)

I love the spring drive, but I’m anal about accuracy, and there is nothing that comes close.
I love the bracelet from a finishing standpoint. The one issue — as everyone has pointed out— is the lack of a micro adjustment.
If GS addresses this, I would add a high beat heritage model to the collection.

And a Bentley can’t stay on the road as long as a Lexus. It’s all about what you’re looking for. Beautiful watch, OP.

thanks man. It's such an amazing watch, that it's making me really think hard about getting the SBGH273 with the high beat movement, so I have both a spring drive and a blue dial HB movement for work.
However, I know GS is coming out with some new models soon with updated 5 day spring drive and an 80 hour High Beat movement. BUT.......I'm not paying close to $10k for one.

Lovely watch but I’m biased as I own one too. The bracelet isn’t perfect but it’s elegant, very comfortable, and very light. IMO the snowflake is a real watch enthusiast’s choice in a way many more expensive watches are not.

Also a great travel watch - particularly the older A11. The large "Seiko" on the upper half of the dial allows it to really fly under the radar as potentially just another inexpensive watch. Yet it is dressy enough for business and light enough (and waterproof enough) that you never need to take it off.

OP, I really enjoy reading these kinds of posts. So cool to see that even after a year it still brings you joy, even more so than in the beginning. I bet it will continue to reveal that joy as time goes by.

Who cares about Swiss it is amazing on its own, regardless of where made...hence the stigma...regardless of where a watch is made, if I it is amazing looking, well built, well designed, comfortable-why compare it to anything else. Seiko has been around longer that most German, Swiss, American, etc. brands. And your watch is awesome and wear it in good health!
