Emerald/Diamond dial Zenith Daytona. Solid or Hollow end links??

Looking into this 1995 Zenith Daytona w/ full box and papers. Before pulling the trigger I came here to verify whether or not the bracelet would be solid or hollow. Pardon my ignorance this will be my first vintage purchase. All help is appreciated.

Cheers

I'm no expert by any means but the solid gold bracelet 16528's I've seen have all be with solid end links.

If you do a search on watchrecon you'll see several:

https://www.watchrecon.com/?query=16528

However, someone on here can confirm for certain. But just based on what I've seen, this is accurate.

what letter is the serial? 1995 is a transitional year and everyone's charts vary on what year is what letter. In addition, was it sold in 95 or manufactured in 95?

Post the first letter of the serial and first number if possible. Also, show the clasp/buckle engravings and end links.

SEl in the steel bracelets came out in 1999….I would assume the same for gold but not sure…..I have a few 16520 but no 528 to compare to…..ive never seen that dial before and I’ve had zeniths first over 20 years…..

Emerald/Diamond dial Zenith Daytona. Solid or Hollow end links??

The bracelet should be a 78598 and had SEL’s

But that dial wasn’t on 16528’s according to my Patrizzi Daytona ref book. It came on 16568 but not with a scaled bezel and not with lumed hands like on that Daytona. On the EMRO variant the sub dials were gold, on BRIL the sub dials were silver. Of course those had either emerald or Diamond gem set bezels. That’s just from the reference I have seen. Never inspected one.

Get a look at the papers. It’s possibly a dial swap. Back in those days it might have had an AD who did it - so not saying it’s “wrong”.

Not that it would matter to one who loves that dial, but might matter later.

For those not seeing that dial/bezel combo before, you’re right.

I wasn’t given much to work with. Here are pictures of some of the paperwork. I requested pictures of the clasp so I will post those as well. I really appreciate everyone’s willingness to help

It is true that it will fit. Do you mean RSC would accept it as a correct dial for a 16528?

Thanks for those - I agree the papers don’t help you and the booklet at least gives you some idea of the Ref.# that should be on the case.

If you really like it, and the price is fair to you, then enjoy your pending purchase.

It looks to me like the dial, lovely though it is, may have been added later.
Lovely looking thing.
