Help on 5167 rubber strap and deployment buckle

Hey Guys,

Anyone knows where to get an authentic black rubber strap and steel deployment buckle for the aquanaut 5167? I understand that Patek doesn't sells them if your watch comes with steel bracelet (i.e. 5167/1A).

Anyone can point me in the right direction? Many thanks.

You can try Chrono24 and Ebay. I was able to get a rubber strap and deployant OEM from a swiss dealer for $900 about 2 years ago.

i think they do.

a few people here have paid the bracelet tax and gotten a 5167 and bought a strap for it since those are easier to get.

Hi there thanks for reverting. By OEM do you mean they are original Patek?

I've been searching on chrono24 and the only decent one that I've found is in the price range of $2400...

I went to my local Patek boutique and they flatly told me no. Can they do that?

im sure someone will be along to confirm but i have seen a few incomings here where it was a bracelet version when they wanted a strap. And they just converted it rather than wait forever to get the strap version.

They can do whatever they want.... yet call Patek directly as you should be able to get them.

I got the bracelet version from an out of state AD and was able to go to my local PP store in Beverly Hills to have the strap/buckle ordered. They won’t order it over the phone. Had to bring the watch in.

Ok I just went to patek service centre again. They told me to fill in a form and they will advise me in a month’s time if the request will be approved by head office. Sounds high handed to me.

Maybe an AD d be an easier route than the SC sometimes those ppl think to be strict is part of the policy:-)

How much has the strap and clasp cost when PP has sold it to you? (Folks who have bought it after buying the bracelet 5167)

I forgot to mention some of the VERY early models use something different than the ones they've made over the past quite a few years. In other words if you've got an older watch the straps are different. I'm not sure what exactly, but I remember David in service asking me for my serial number to make sure it was the newer configuration, which again is what they've made for quite a few years now.
