I was told never by multiple ADs. One of which I had purchase history. Told never on a 5164a as well. 5167R was a year. So I bought an AP. Lol

Easier to get the bracelet version since less porpoise, higher priced and harder to flip

Amazon has some certified pre-owned pieces...

https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_n...atch+5167A-001

But, they do not come with papers...

Bahahahahahahha.

I think the bracelet version is the better buy anyway, as you’ve got the versatility of strap or bracelet.

I've been told never by most and I've made an effort.

I have no relationship with a Patek AD (there's only one here = zero chance atm) but I'd also like one. Times change. Markets change. I can wait.

Go visit your local ad, I sincerely doubt they will turn down putting you on the waiting list.

I approached an AD and was told they would not even take my name. I had never purchased anything from them, however.

Thanks. I'm already on the list for a couple of Rolex's. One of which they offered me in June (pretty hard to get model) and I passed because I was out of state dealing with aging parents and really wasn't up to speed on what was going on with Rolex. I passed as quickly as I could to make sure I didn't hold them up on a sale. I had only lingered on that list for about a month. It's been 4+ months now since I passed and they haven't offered me the piece again and they don't even respond to email inquiries about status. I assume I upset someone at this AD by passing.

I wonder myself. But I have heard the bracelet is easier to get vs the strap.

I walked in the AD in Seattle WA last week and the very polite sales lady advised me they have about a 2 year waiting list for the 5167 when she saw I was wearing mine.

Rhone keeps the papers on some models routinely... much above 5711 level though. Maybe some AD's hold them though for other models, no idea.

Truthfully you need to be more concerned with getting the actual watch, papers or no papers.

Could never have imagined this when a couple of years ago this was the only SS sports that was a regular in ADs.
