Submariner ceramic insert
It is without question a sharp black but I've found it to look grey in certain conditions.
I really enjoy it as to me it plays on a vintage ghost bezel look. Anyone else every noticed that? |

It's an amazing bezel.
It's very tough to catch in a photo, but if you are in direct sunlight (not CFL, but sunlight) can notice that the bezel color itself has a metallic component to it. Similar to a nice metallic black paint on a car |

if they made a matte one I'd consider a 6 digit again.
The shine and presence IMO makes the ceramics too flashy. |

I find it to be exactly the same as you. Love it when I catch a glimpse and I see grey ghosted look.

I have to say owning a 6 digit Sub for a number of years, that yes they look flashier than a 5 digit when i look down at my wrist or see in pictures. But any time (save for the LV) that I've seen a LN 6 digit on someone else, imo the ceramic is virtually indistinguishable from the sheen of the aluminum bezels when say 5 or 10 feet or more away... |
