I bought the watch from Newport Watch Club. I have dealt with many dealers of the years but these guys are top notch.

I love this reference. Looks incredible in all pics. Definitely on my short list and threads like this do nothing but try my patience. Thanks for the pics and Congrats to the OP.

Dang, those pictures are so nice. I have a question, I obviously know WG is significantly softer than SS, but is the 116619 a scratch magnet? It took me quite some time to get down to two watches, and I’ve been kicking the tires on which watch could get me down to one. This is it, but the WG softness makes me nervous.

Go for it! The polished center links are scratch magnets but otherwise not too much different from steel.

I had a separate thread about the rationale to go wg. The SS prices are totally absurd, I have seen ss daytonas for 23k and white gold for 26k. While buying my two wg variants, I had this in mind. My take is that the ss models will experience a massive price correction at some point, while wg models whose dial or bezel was never available in ss will remain valuable. The key is to pick up the wg at -30 to -50% of retail. Hell, my plight was easy, while the crowds chase the ss models, the wg models languishing unsold. This will not be this way forever and I think that anyone who can trade into a cheap wg should do it.
