Member help WG Sports
Could you guys help me out? I already have a YM II WG and want to buy another Rolex sports watch with bracelet (not strap/band) in WG. However, I only want a variant that could not be bought in steel. I mean, either the bezel or dial is unique to the WG version. I have already seen the blue sub and I’m considering that, but maybe you could provide me with some other references? The watch could be any sports model but, it must be unique, where the WG variant has something that was never available on the steel version. Thanks in advance for any help.

What about the WG GMT-Master II with the blue dial and oyster bracelet?

The Daytona in wg w the blue face is prob the only one that checks the unique box. That face will def not be offered on ss.

It would be between the blue and the steel panda Daytona's (OF) for me.

I must be missing the point. Other than offering the black dial BLRO is SS where it had been previously WG, or the Sky-Dweller in SS (with a different dial but perhaps the same colors) as WG variants, I can't really think of many other options that are the same or largely the same in WG and SS.

I feel those MOP Daytona dials are as nice as it gets. Much nicer than the blue dial version imho

I would go for either a GMT (either the blue or black dial pepsi) or Sub if I was limiting my choice to white gold sport models. If it were any WG model I would probably get a vintage Day-Date (surprise, my only Rolex at the moment is a 18239). If I could pick from any gold sport watch, it would have to be the anniversary green dial GMT in yellow gold.

A really really good MOP dial might be cool, but 80% look meh. The other 20% are amazing. The interesting thing about the blue dial ... is the dial. I’m also not convinced it’ll sell well, so they’ll prob sack it after a few seasons.

Although I pulled the trigger on a WG BLRO GMT, I was also looking at the WG Daytona with arabic and panda dial.

I'd go with the blue sub. Happy hunting.

The WG Sub is also good because the bezel and dial detract franken-opportunities

I suggest Daytona with meteorite dial. Truly unique.

Love my white gold Sub. The blue and white gold just work so well together.

That is a truly inspired choice for OP. That’s because no 2 dials are alike. They don’t offer it new any longer in WG but NOS is still around or he can go pre-owned. I saw this one earlier today and it is better in person than I thought. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I like this panda dial a lot. Are we sure this cannot be obtained in steel? Also, one poster mentioned the black arabic dial but I have seen this in steel (but I love this dial)
