I'd go with the Blue one...

Sub or Daytona...winner winner chicken dinner

I dont get it, hence my desire to get white gold. On chrono24 there are two seemingly identical watches with the above panda dia, ss 26k and wg 29k. This whole ss fad seems to have driven people crazy right? A few years back, this would never have been this way...

I must be missing the point. Other than offering the black dial BLRO is SS where it had been previously WG, or the Sky-Dweller in SS (with a different dial but perhaps the same colors) as WG variants, I can't really think of many other options that are the same or largely the same in WG and SS.
because im seeing online, the same blue dial WG daytona thats still in the current Rolex lineup, for sale second hand from the year 2003 to 2009?

Are they the same blue dial or the current blue WG daytona has a slightly different colour blue?

I think I was confusing yellow gold or two-tone blue dial Daytonas. But this is the model released in 2016, which is really beautiful:

For me, it would be between the BLRO and Blue Sub with the Sub leading by a GlideLock.

I’d go smurf or BLRO as I already have a SS Daytona. No reason for two Daytona’s imo. One would inevitably be 2nd favorite and not worn.

Blue Sub is just so unique. As another poster also mentioned it would win by a glidelock. Probably one of the heaviest WG models since it would have the same larger dimensions and design as the sub.

Go Smurf. You will be underwhelmed with the size of the Daytona.

Let's see some pics of that YM2 WG! That's the one I'd like to add next...

The smurf is a grail for most. It’s the most unseen model imho. The blro and the new Skydwellers exclusive wg club for those. There’s no SS smurf and probably never will be

Blue WG Daytona as you can't get it in SS. It makes the watch double special IMHO

116509 or 116519 with silver panda dial takes my vote.

Thanks to all members for their help and comments. With your help, I’ve decided to go with the smurf and, am just finalizing the deal now. Will post a few photos when I get it.

BTW faimag, yes I was swayed by the silver panda daytona (a lot) but found them to be both scarce and overpriced. I may live to regret my decision because I love that version.
