Year on President Bracelet

Guys,
I felt in love with a Day-Date 1972, White Gold, "Wide Boy" dial, it came with a Rolex Original Croco Black Strap.
I am thinking to look for hi president WG bracelet, is there a code to identify the year of production on Prasidents likke it is on the steel models?

I think if you find any decent condition WG president from the 70s you’ll be doing very well. Limiting to a particular year will make it very tough to find.

The hidden clasp President bracelets have a date code on the clasp by the hinge. I am not sure what year they started going this.

I think it was late 70s when the dates turned to letter codes. 1972 wont be a hidden clasp, it will have a regular Oyster clasp with a quarter month and actual year of manufacture date stamped on it. It should also have #53 end links.

There are a couple very strong wg dd bracelets on that auction site, but they’ll be solid design of later manufacture. On the upside they’ll feel better on the wrist.

That auction site sure does have some interesting stuff. There's a RG 1601 I'd be all over if I didn't already have all these watches!

Could you tell me which auction site you're discussing?

I think the endlink marking is more critical for fitment purposes, not sure if the date code matters as much... depending on how true to form you want to be. Beautiful 1803 Amex! Entire watch pops man.

Anytime that's mentioned here they mean the largest auction site, the one that uses PayPal, the one outta Silicon Valley, rhymes with "LeMay". While most buyers would prefer to buy from trusted sellers on the Rolex Forums, you can find some excellent deals online on other sites too. My 1803 today was from https://www.hqmilton.com/timepieces/...gray-dial-7682 HQ Milton but all my other gold Rolexes were found, badly photographed and from sellers all over the world, on "that auction site". Good luck finding one you like!
